Silent Hunter 5 has been developed by Ubisoft Romania, which is owned by Ubisoft. They also developed Far Cry, Assassin's Creed, etc. They simply stopped supporting Silent Hunter 5, because they didn't sell enough copies - fucking lame.

bottom line i dont think gaming would be where it is today without ubisoft. yeah big words, but try check their title-spam through the years. many many far worse publishers/developers imo

DRM apart , Ubisoft  stated that PC gaming is shit compared to console (before Uplay) , so if you ask me , Ubisoft is a bigger shit.

Too bad they published so many good games , GoG is the future!!!111!!!1!!! (i know it's a reseller site but who cares i love GoG)

Then you played the good parts. Part IV is alright and similar to III but already lost some of its amazingness.
But it started to be bad with V. I also played VII once but uninstalled it after 2 minutes cause it was crap².

They also made a new version of Settlers II but thats not worth either. Settlers IV aint bad, but I - III are far better

What I think about Ubisoft?

Bought Splinter Cell: Conviction to play it in CoOp with my girlfriend. I couldn't establish a connection due to SS needing a shitload of open ports (I think it was over 40) and a static IP adress, and even then I could not connect.

Then my GF bought us 2 copies of Far Cry 3, and we ended up with the same problem.

I think Ubisoft is owing me money for selling me something which does not work. Their games are good, but I want that the person(s) who is/are responsible for the whole DRM and security bullshit choke on a dick, until they die a miserable death with jizz coming out of their mouth and nose.

That's what I think about Ubisoft.
