The motion blur is sickening in that video, but forgetting that (because it is very easily deactivated anyway), most things look much better than GTA5 equivalents right now. Mostly the fact that there is antialiasing, HD reflections and lighting, vibrant colors, etc.

Then you shouldn't be playing on consoles LOL.

Try growing some eyes and actually watching that video. Perhaps even, y'kno, turn the video quality to 1080p? Because it is the opposite of blurry.

Blurry as in motion blur derp. Though as Kafein said you can turn it off but i never understood why people like it. It's not realistic at all how games/mods implement it anyhow.

Motion blur is in GTA IV by default? You are still missing the point?

I don't get it, how can GTA V have not enough to do online? Haven't played it but I have played a lot of GTA IV freeroam and simply the physics, the weapons, the explosives allow you to so much fun stuff, which makes it a blast to play even though it is completely devoid of any objective or any structure at all.

Haven't played it, but it seems GTA V has what GTA IV has + a shit ton of other stuff. Looks like 200 hours of hilarity even if you don't touch any of the missions, you just need friend on some VOIP and a sense of humour.

The video Derp. Not vanilla. Also it could've been default in vanilla too. Long time ago since i played it. Talking about motion blur in general though.

As with anything if you play it too much in a short period of time, things gets boring.

I have it on console (duh), I don't have that many friends that own the game and as absolutely every single human being on the planet knows, random console players are the most horrible demographic to play with.

You'd think the parents/kids of the old generation would've learnt to parent their kids after GTA San Andreas

It's not the fact that they are kids that bothers me, but the fact that even the grown-ups play the game in the worst kind of childish way (not I don't really expect kids to act non-childish either). When freeroaming I actively avoid any contact with other players because they try to kill you even when they have 0 reasons to do so. Hence why I also fully support the bad sportsmanship punishing system. If anything, it should punish more things than just blowing up personal cars. IMO refusing duels after you killed someone for no reason is bad sportsmanship too. Also, not a single race happens without idiots ramming each other and me (the way drafting works really doesn't help, the game would be better with 0 drafting). This is amusing considering that until now I won all my air and boat races but keep frequently losing land races because for example when I'm 4th, the 5th guy keeps thinking it is a good idea to ram me and send us both in a wall.

Another thing is that even though the missions are not easy to do alone (which is nice), it's usually because they involve the horrible concept of infinitely respawning enemies. In many missions, you must drive somewhere, kill people, retrieve something then drive somewhere else. The problem happens when after you grab whatever you need to grab, suddenly there will be two SUVs with two enemies each that will spawn nearby and follow you everywhere on the map. If you kill one, another will respawn near your current location. If you shake them, they will respawn too. This is especially dangerous on the motorways where they will spawn in front of you and on your lane. This is a completely stupid way to add difficulty because the only way to "deal" with them is to kill the guy who isn't driving and making sure you don't shake them while driving to where you need to go.

Nah they only needed to implement a better Non-PVP toggle thingie that saves you from all kinds of damage. iirc you could still get run over and be blown up when you're in safe mode.

If you wanna kill other players without being deathmatches you better be ready for you to be killed as well.

That only happens in a few missions. What i did was get a big car get the mission objective and park your car while getting chased at a proper location and then kill off the enemies. There will be a couple of waves approaching but after a while it'll stop coming (easy XP).

The problem is, I often don't want to be in safe mode because I want to rob shops, attack clan hideouts and pick up crates. All the flicking on and off is time consuming and ends up being costly, while getting killed randomly is merely an annoyance. About crates, it's one of the cases where free pvp makes perfect sense (the respawn mechanics could be much better but that's another problem), as well as when you have to steal a specific vehicule marked on the map.

That only happens in a few missions. What i did was get a big car get the mission objective and park your car while getting chased at a proper location and then kill off the enemies. There will be a couple of waves approaching but after a while it'll stop coming (easy XP).

I did that a couple of times, they just kept coming. I'm almost level 50 now, and most of the missions I get involve this.

So...

This isn't coming to PC? Or what?

Rockstar, you don't want my money?

I played it for a bit at a buddy's house, just doing the old-school take turns seeing how many stars and for how long you can keep them for. I don't like how the cops are pin-point accurate all the time shooting out tires and the driving isn't as fun. Maybe I'm just getting jaded though.

The best new gameplay implement though is the "flop" button.
And how!

Lol yeah, I saw that in videos, hilarious. They removed the cool driving system but at least they gave us a flop button. But yes, rockstar where is pc release
