There seem to be new infos about a PC version of GTA 5:

Someone found infos about DirectX 11, 2k-textures and 64bit support in the source code of the PS3 version. I just read this on a German game-magazine site.

There's hope.

Yeah I dont see why they wouldnt release it for pc, they have done for all the other modern GTA's, just usually a bit of a wait. After all the first GTA was released on PC before anything else. I dont mind waiting though as its going to look even better on my pc.

It's just the same approach Rockstar has been doing for many years now, they probably have their reasons.

PC version will come about half year later.

Loved rdr but the multiplayer died quicker than gta4's, way too many game types splitting the population later on finished it off. Also had the same issue as gta4 with most players online wanting to play boring easy mode auto aim games. I hope GTA Online isnt going to end up that way. RDR still awesome singleplayer game though, much more fum than gta4, but theres only so many times i can play through a singleplayer game.

You'll be able to set up your own lobbies, with your own game variables.  You can also be in passive mode where other people can't kill you in game (but if you shoot you are no longer in passive mode).

Money isn't that big of a deal in the game (despite what people are saying).  Yes some properties cost 20 or 30 or 150 million, but you don't need to buy them, and they don't generate hardly any money (compared to the initial cost).

I don't see the problem.  if people want to spend their money on stuff in game, so be it.  I'll be fine without.  And since it's not a first person shooter with clearly defined objectives (it's open world, you can do whatever you want), I don't see how you can pay to win (since there is no winning).

If dead players drop heaps of dollars where they die this is going to be DayZ all over again. Some people are bound to camp those stacks just to get kills, unless you can see other players on the map.

Smart move from Rockstar.

First release the game, getting in all the GOTYs, before closing deals with doritos and mountain dew 2 weeks later.
