Seriously, Euphoria is the best thing that happened since Carmageddon 2 ;)

I loved GTA4 physics...some of my favorite activities were jumping massive jumps in a bike (and if you mess them up you get to see your guy flail all over).

I would also sometimes drop a grenade and jump off a building, launching myself in hilarious directions/maneuvers.

Also I liked driving my car at incoming traffic and jump out before the collision and watching people fly through their windshields.

Because in Red Red Redemption they had different physics. It was still Euphoria (I think), but somehow it didn't feel as life-like as in GTA4. I can't really explain, but if you played it, you'll probably know what I mean.

I played both. Red Dead used Euphoria as well, it was simply updated. I actually much preferred the feel of it in Red Dead, felt very weighty and life-like. They also updated it in Max Payne 3, was even better there. And I'm sure they'll update it for GTAV as well!

Yeah Euphoria is basically the best thing to happen to body physics ever. I wish every game used it. Always imagined what it would be like in Warband. It wouldn't really work, but it'd be hilarious.
I'm rock, nerf paper, scissors is fine. Welcome to c-RPG.

It's been so long since I played Red Red Redemption that I could be wrong here, but if IIRC it felt like you had much more mass than other people and could just push everything away without being stopped. I also believe that Euphoria was simplified in that ragdolls didn't act as intelligently as in GTA4 (more like ragdolls that is). There was no holding on to world objects while falling anymore I think. The only thing I remember for sure is that overall it felt less realistic than in GTA4. Meh, I'm this close to getting out the old XBox again and see for myself...

The most incredibly impressive thing about GTA4 to me was dynamic animations. When people are kicked out of balance, they use their legs and sometimes grab things to avoid falling. The way they walk stairs is also never twice  the same.

+1, this was one of the things I had a lot of fun with.

I just realised it's only a little over 2 weeks until the console release and I do still have a 360...

My conscience tells me to wait for a pc version with proper controls, improved visuals and modding - and not support the Rockstar motto "We don't give a shit about pc gaming. That pirating scum can consider themselves lucky, if they get to play at all. You assholes will buy our game twice, anyway."

I feel so abused.

Yeah I'm probably gonna cave in and get it for PS3. Knowing Rockstar it'll be like a year wait or more before they port it to PC, if they even do so.

Just pre-ordered the game. Despite their questionable politics, Rockstar are still one of the few big developers, who always deliver.
I hope the humor will be as witty, (rather) subtle and critical of society as in GTA4. I loved that about the radio stations, tv programs and the random comments from passengers.

Anyone getting the luxury VIP 140€ edition with premium in-game features?

Well I pre-ordered it for PS3 as well, though I only did the regular edition. I am so hyped for this game it's ridiculous. If anyone's interested they've been doing GTAV week this week over at IGN, new articles on it everyday. They got hands on with the single-player as well as GTA Online, good stuff.

I've got a feeling I am not going to like the new car physics.

I liked the realistic approach in GTA4. You had to think ahead a little and couldn't just keep your foot on the gas all the time. The weight of the cars and the momentum felt kind of real.

From what I'm reading, the handling is much "easier" in GTA5.  :(

Apparently, there also isn't any visual car damage anymore.  :?

I absolutely loved how driving cars felt in GTA IV. If they make it more arcadey/easier I'll be disappointed. Really hope they keep it as it was in GTA IV. Also hope that the body/ragdoll physics of GTA IV stay, those were fun to play with as well.
