you must not know football very well this is not new (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catenaccio) and this "parking the bus" fucked the equaly boring tikataka up the ass which I loved beyond words.
And now he can't play because of "common sense" and he doesn't understand how this common sense works

Italian football is crap, no one is watching that beside Italians themselves. I used to watch it before, when they attracted big stars. But right now with bunch of failed foreigners and rest being anonymous Italian players, hell no.

Whenever Italians pull of that crap (catenaccio) during major international championship, you can see everybody else hating their national them and cheering for them to lose. Whole world was cheering for equally boring Costa Rica just because Italians left a really bad taste during few previous World Cups.

Not even Italians are fan of that crap, they can't fill average 40000 seat stadium most of the time in Serie A.

In Spain, managers who do that shit can be successful and win stuff but get sacked regardless of good results. Capello got sacked because of shit football Real Madrid was playing despite winning the title that year. For same reason Mourinho had to leave Spain, no one likes him in there. Actually no one except loser Chelski fans like that motherfucker. Period.

Looking at the players and the amount of money they have I expect more from them.

And Chelsea in 2012 were luckiest winner ever, parking the bus in their penalty area since the first whistle

really surprises me that Man U are so low, would have thought they would be top. I might be wrong though

So you two are saying that a weaker team should play to the strengths of the other team simply to make it more interesting for neutrals? Maybe that's why Mourihno is a well paid and well respected manager and you two argue about football on a video game forum. No that can't be, you two definitely know football better.

lol is this guy for real? know anything about arrigo sacchi, a man who changed football? you said you used to watch italian football, guess why, because it was the top league for 15 years. now it's shit because there is no money, which is what makes teams win anything since 1975, at least 70% of wins are linked to general wealth. don't act so cocky just because for one year a team that didn't spend lots of millions ALMOST managed to win, bitch pls. italian football lost its appeal because it lost money, that's why stadoums are mostly empty these years; it's not like Italians hate defensive playstyle, the fact is they love to win, and italian are known to be master tacticians, where south american are more spectacular and skillful, spanish are similar, english are physical and so on; but ye, I guess you like leagues where a team wins the league on march ( sure as hell it wouldn't have happened in italy), I'd love to see those cocky english team playing in the italian league where you struggle even against the last one (because those team put their hearts and drain every single resource they have to make good impressions against big teams, not like in england where 85% of the games are already decided mostly ( that said I love premier league)).

know anything about arrigo sacchi, a man who changed football?

Quote
Sacchi was never a professional football player (he had played as a part-time footballer in amateur clubs for some years) and for many years worked as a shoe salesman. This led to his famous quote to the ones that questioned his qualifications: "I never realized that in order to become a jockey you have to have been a horse first".

really Darmaster?  the Premier league is one of the most exciting leagues in the world, there are about 5-6 teams going for the title, and the rest are not just cannon fodder. Look at recent results, 5-3 Leisceter v Man U , 1-0 Stoke v Man City, Aston Villa v Liverpool 1-0. This is what makes the English premier league more exciting than any other league around the world.

The Spanish League is normally between two teams. German League is a one team League, Italian league i have never watched because i have never seen the appeal.

Just look at Falkas chart, just shows you where the best football is.

I wouldn't say it's a one team league, far from it. If they win the title they have to struggle for it, and that certainly doesn't always happen.

Kinda surprising numbers if you don't follow football on detail and then look at the 2 clubs who played in the CL final 2013.
Guess money does not buy real quality after all...

strudog i remember you mentioned in this thread you started following football recently (either you or osiris :/ ), which, if true, explains a lot of things.

first, everybody agrees that premier league is one of the most fun leagues in the world, on that probably we all have the same opinion, even all 5 leshma's sociopathic personalities; also premier league has changed a lot in the recent years, since chelsae and man city came out as billionaries teams: it wasn't like this before, you should have this clear in your mind, chelsae was nobody, city was nobody.

you've never seen the appeal of italian football because you've only seen it in its decay (recent 4-5 years), but you should see what sort of players wandered in the italian league back in the 90s and early 00s; juventus milan and inter were top teams, the only ones that could match them probably were real madrid and barcelona.

go check this list and see how big english team presence was in the CL before from 1985 to 2005 circa http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_European_Cup_and_UEFA_Champions_League_finals

back to serie a, as i've already mentioned, it is probably the toughest league in the world, which goes side by being one of the least fun leagues to watch if not an italian team supporter, on that i can agree: italians care more about results, less about spectacle, which sads me a bit, but i see sense in it.

Why I've been into football since I was like 7  :P
I remember when Italian league had the top players but it still wasn't that interesting for me (apart from the top teams ofc). It's natural to care more about your nations league and not pay attention to the lower end of other leagues (if your nations league is a top 5 one and your like 10yo)

But clearly people talking about TV money like it's the only money these clubs get know very little.

Your article shows bayern as having very little money when they are one of the 5 richest teams in the world and have been for a long time
i make terrible warband videos! https://youtu.be/jUdVGIOuULk

then it was strudog :/ agree ofc people care more about nations league, but it is a fact premier league right now has more appeal than any other league; as for that "article" it doesn't even show that in spain, liga is free to watch, if i remember correctly.

Probably Leshma, since he has a problem with "veteran" referee Martin Atkinson, who's been around since Leshma's early childhood, or in other words: since 2005. The guy's been around for Leshma's whole elementary school, including the one grade he might've repeated.

Obviously mixed him up with someone. There was some similar referee in late 90s.
