strudog i remember you mentioned in this thread you started following football recently (either you or osiris :/ ), which, if true, explains a lot of things.
first, everybody agrees that premier league is one of the most fun leagues in the world, on that probably we all have the same opinion, even all 5 leshma's sociopathic personalities; also premier league has changed a lot in the recent years, since chelsae and man city came out as billionaries teams: it wasn't like this before, you should have this clear in your mind, chelsae was nobody, city was nobody.
you've never seen the appeal of italian football because you've only seen it in its decay (recent 4-5 years), but you should see what sort of players wandered in the italian league back in the 90s and early 00s; juventus milan and inter were top teams, the only ones that could match them probably were real madrid and barcelona.
go check this list and see how big english team presence was in the CL before from 1985 to 2005 circa
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_European_Cup_and_UEFA_Champions_League_finalsback to serie a, as i've already mentioned, it is probably the toughest league in the world, which goes side by being one of the least fun leagues to watch if not an italian team supporter, on that i can agree: italians care more about results, less about spectacle, which sads me a bit, but i see sense in it.
