As much as i enjoyed being and unkillable tin can with charger and sniper xbow and killing peasents it all got a bit boring to say at least in the end..

this current version of cRPG have kept me playing for longer then the old cRPG.

Also this new patch aint too shabby tbh
I've never played a server where people split up as much or as often as on EU1.  No wonder range is having a field day.

I saw this one coming really. Is this a method you have invented to keep people content with the new patch? People would be made to make a decision to pay for the cRPGplus ( which looks like the original cRPG which was real fun) or the current free cRPG version ( which has been whined about a lot).

IMHO, most will go for the free version and have to deal with it, and whining will be gone? For those who keep on whining, you will say, "well there's the cRPGplus version, buy it if you don't like the free version". And you'll make people pay for a game which was announced to be "free" forever. Because i believe cRPGplus is no different than the original cRPG that attracted this many players.

I didn't find this attitude honest enough.

I would rather ask you to give your time to strategus instead.

Absolutely true.

PS And I think that most kids from East Europe couldn't pay for the + cRPG.
Besides, it's splitted ppl and clans(!!!)- two games and the two categories (players).
But if...I suggest other(real) names:  richRPG and poorRPG...

EDIT: My clan(GO) doesn't play a richRPG. That I can guarantee.
If you need money to finish work on Strategus, to write it straight/clearly.
We(Grey Order) will do fundraiser/whip-round.

- there is no upkeep,
- money gain is slow,
- it features a separated database, new chars,
- slightly different WPF calculation,
- no level cap,
- chars and shop ingame,
- you gain money and xp 50% by killing yourself, 50% by area of XP,
- no retirement,
- no heirlooms (or maybe upgrading your weapons),
- no drastical changes to weapons or item stats

Why don't you do this with regular crpg?
I mean, what have you got to lose? You know, you come from nothing, you're going back to nothing, what have you lost? Nothing!

Because it's not my idea of fun.

My idea of fun is the current cRPG.

Then keep the current cRPG. If you start developing something that is not fun, then as a developer myself, I can tell you that it will be slower as you lack the "drive" to do things rather quickly. Also, beware of juggling multiple projects.

Please, keep just cRPG and make it as you see fit while balancing the wishes of the players with that of game balance. Remember that Game Balance always trumps Realism.

Increase soft lvl cap to 40 and make strategus only for donators(once 10€).
Sorry for my bad English.

No level cap? No thanks.

I'd rather pay for cRPG like it is now.

Heyo

I've been on a hiatus on this game for some months, as the primary reason for me playing was strategus.
Also I have yet to try the new patch (just a few minutes and I will), but I felt like answering this post.

In all honesty... I don't care (this wasn't an option so I chose dislike - not gonna play). If you could get some extra bucks out if it that would be fine by me. However, I believe that the possible pitfalls of doing so would outweigh the advantages primarily by splitting the community.

Focus on Strategus and if money is needed different models for player donations could be made like:

- If your clan wants it own flag donate x
- If you want to rename a city/village/fortress you own donate x
- If you want to change char name, donate
- etc etc.

If you really want microtransactions you could expand by ingame features:
- Donate x to upkeep armor
- Donate x to xp boost
doante x to gold boost

HOWEVER: This might piss of large part of the community hence not have the desired economical effect.

i can't agree

1. people aren't only frustrated about heirloom nerf, but the combination of heirloom and xp nerf. If i would still be able to loom new gear as pre patch i would have said so be it.
2. Heirlooms are getting nerved and thats good, in that way heirloomed items are nice to have but not unbalancing even if you got a shitload of them. It is an insentive for grinders, sadly lots of people think they make them op. The more you balance the heirloomed items the less thats the case. Good players in crpg are mostly good players in nativ or other mods as well, because they have spent a lot of time in M&B.
3. 9 item slots make one hard cap to heirloomed items, who owns more, owns them for fun for style for versatility.
4. XP Gain /Grind, a insentiv as well as heirloomed items. As long the out come of what you gain through them is balanced there is no game braker. When i am lvl 20 i am mostly as good as i am on lvl 31, at least it was my last 15-20 generations that way. so gaining 4-6 lvls over lvl 31 wouldn't be a game braker as long the skills you gain aren't op in themselves and as far as i read and was told there were already several changes to skill point behaviour which solved that problem.

chadz i don't know you, i am not a big fan of donkeys  (allergical reaction to different pet hairs ^^)
but what you and your team have created here is outstanding man.
And for thst you have my deepest respect, as a developer myself i know what work is included.

Do it if you can make a buck sure thing.
But there will be other problems you will have and you will devert your time and perhaps get a taste of money :) and do prefer that over time , we are all getting older :)
