I only had 10minutes, but so far it looks AMAZING!

Yeah debugg some, maybe balance, make maps. But it might just be the best thing ever!
Proper skirmish fights in urban terrain, with objectives and shit.

really, with instaspawning people dont value their life anymore. they just go out and spam the fuck out of the enemy. it doesnt feel like a real fight where two teams fight for their lifes.

chadz will not look kindly on praising false prophets....but I do appreciate the new game mode implementation ozin.

I personally still prefer round based game modes where everyone's life is "equal" and very important.

Maybe mappers can adapt old maps to new conquest mod ... That's less longer than create news ...

So play battle.  I certainly don't value my life for shit in Strategus battles, since its a TDM/Conquest hybrid.  I value the objective and how many bads I can kill on my way to it, or defending it, before I die in a blaze of glory.  That's why its so much better.  Less kiting nerds, more goofy cav charges, brave souls charging first to die honorably.  Not that single life long respawn sit around and watch a horse xbow jerk his arabian off for 4 minutes every 2 minutes of gameplay that cRPG turned into.

Ok I have just played a round of this new game mode and I think it's really fun. You have some really intense melee frontiers for nearly 30mins. That's pretty cool imo. And there are also usual siege modes in the map rotation so there's no real problem. We don't lose usual siege.
I just see 1 danger. After the map there were a lot of whiners because they had to fight with x1 for 30min. Imo it's not all about money or grinding but there is a real danger that these maps could quickly empty the server because many people don't want to earn so few coins.
I'll give this cool game mode some time but what about a multiplier that is as high as the number of flags your team controls atm?

k, the first impression was quite confusing.
i have waited for ages to spawn and then i have realized that i have to choose a spawnpoint. there was no real hint about that (well, there is a entry in the spawnmenu, but most of the time i skip the team select).
after the spawn i had no clue if i was attacker or defender. so i have followed the horde until we have met a few enemies.
later we have found a flag, but it did not move and then i have died, respawn and next try over and over again.

my main problems were that i had no information about my role and that nothing happened. it was ok for a tdm but quite boring for a conquest mode.

This really isn't siege anymore, more like capture certain areas. So more of a battle mode spin off. No more siege towers or ladders just castles that you run right through. WWHHHYYY!!!!

Afaik Ozin is still trying to fix it, right now it's highly unlikely to hit anything else than the ground or the ballista itself.
