Arbalest Repair

I just had three repairs in a row at a cost of 1.3k each. This is absurd, its not even that good. I can't even kill a lightly armored peasant in one hit

I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.

An arbalest is no free 1 shot ticket as soon as you hit anything and although my main is an arbalester I have to say it's good that way. This thing is a very mighty weapon but only in the right hands (as a head shot machine). But don't think you can get lots of valour with it.
The arbalest is for a dedicated sniper and I see my job on the battlefield in looking for the top players and put them on half of their hit points. It's not about 1 shot killing peasants (too slow reloading time). An arbalester is a support class (with good KD ratio) who should take the hp and attention of experienced players who otherwise kill 3 to 4 of your mates in melee.

Help your team and upkeep is no problem but as archery this is no gold leeching class.
I have a dream that one day this mod will rise up, and live out the true meaning of its creed: ‘We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all classes are created equal.’

You forgot to take speed bonus into account. But I am sure he is just whining for no reason. I end up oneshotting high level archers from time to time with my MW Arbalest.

A weapon that has the potential of killing a heavily armored player with decent IF with one bolt is supposed to be expensive.

Lies.

Headshots don't count, you only need a rus-bow for that.

Crossbows are not affected by wpf so not sure why you left that in there. Also, the damage drop off at range is range is pretty big. So those damage models are incorrect in most cases. Not to mention the rain which fucks crossbows up.

And then everything suddenly makes sense.

Even cutting those values in half, you should be one-shotting peasants
