The two-handed sword does need better thrust damage, I stated as much a long time ago. Not sure what happened to this.

The real question for me is why is the Miadao not slower than the Two Handed Sword?

It is 0.5 heavier and 5 longer which justifies the extra damage (possibly) but where is the trade off in speed?  The jump from 2.5 to 3 weight between Miadao and Highland Claymore drops the speed right down to 92.

Been saying this a for a while but we need a more systematic approach to weapon stats if we want proper balance

Curved blades in warband are always faster in fairness to the devs.


But... Two handed swords 22p stab does not make up 4 damage and 5 reach.


People saying "97 speed 110 reach" Balance should never ever be based on loomed weapons.

Beacause realism is only a good guideline for video games.

thrust is really not important in crpg ,

If I was given the chance to nerf things around, believe me thrust would be one the first items on the list. A lot of 2h users particularly depend on it and you get full damage out of a thrust even if the tip of the weapon barely touches you. So, I wouldn't really say thrust isn't important.

2h greatsword thrust is one of the greatest anti cav tools in the game. If i had to choose between the pike and a danish against a heavy cav team, I would probably take the Danish because a lot of cav still try to out range dat thrust when they would otherwise not approach if I had a pike.

MeowDao is a balanced weapon with it's own set of strengths and weaknesses, I just wish it had that sexy sexy dadao model.
