same here. that lag-spikes happen to one of my buddies, too... and he got a ping of 20-30, if not lower.

I too have been having this problem; I changed to DX7 mode and it seems to have more or less fixed the issue, though the game looks even more like crap now than it did on DX9. Definitely not an ideal solution and I would like to see a fix, but odds are its tougher than just a simple optimization fix...

Ah sorry didn't notice that. I was using Windows XP, maybe that had something to do with it...

I did find something in another post that seemed to work well for me last night; updating/reinstalling the Microsoft C++ Redistributable. I downloaded the latest version for my OS, chose the option to "Remove" the first time around, then ran it again and clean installed. I was able to play last night on DX 9 full settings for an hour, no crashes.

Worth a shot at least, and let us know if it works so we can spread the word.

guess i need to do that, too.

I tried to play on DX9 today and i got lags like hell... with 70-90 fps and a ping of 40 - 45.

It happens to me as well.

It works normal for first few rounds but suddenly starts lagging - each new map more and more.
It happens that after end of round when changing maps, sometimes gives me runtime error and MB closes (C++ error as screenshot as mentioned here http://forum.c-rpg.net/index.php/topic,4648.0.html ).
I had clean reinstal of C++ red. as well but no change. Changing ATI graphic drivers neither. Uninstalling Win7 SP1 neither.
It must be latest patch thing as it happens just with this mod. All other mods and native work ok.

DX7 works fine but it doesnt feel right as everything looks "ghotic"   :oops:

I miss those EU siege server as well. Only EU5 is on and is quite unstable.

But I must say that after beeing forced to try other mods, this mod "ROCKS"  :!: :!: :!:

In the bug reports forum there were some good advises from Delusianne, and one of them completely solved the crash/freeze issue I had since the new patch

a, reinstall microsof visual c++ (did not work for me but for several others yes)
b, if you have ati card, and you do not have the "load textures on demand" ticked in the config menu when you launch cprg, tick it. For me this worked, maybe the people who have issue since the patch can try......

I can confirm that it solved my problem. It is working... just a simple tick and done! No more lags!

Okay. i tried the c++ redis - does not work.

Game closes on mapchange. (now its like it is on EVERY mapchange. EVEN ON THE FUCKIN DUELSERVER WHERE THE NEXT MAP IS THE SAME! - yes, that really happened.)
Game closes when I press L to show the logs.
Game sometimes closes midround.
