Seriuslly, wtf. All that codingwork could be used to make something more awesome. What the hell is this? Here are jokevideos, cause real gameplay vids were simply too boring:

Than there is stuff like: "Woodcutter simulator", "Garbage truck simulator", "London underground simulator", "Farming simulator", "Ship simulator: EXXXTREEEME(lol)", "City bus simulator".
I mean what the favk? Are the sales really that high on these that they simply keep making them.

Also all those simulators are made by the same german team. And honestly even without knowing I would have guessed it.

It costs nearly £1200 to get Train Simulator with all its DLC's. They must make a killing if they will churn out so much stuff

These are games for people who want to relax and immerse into a realistic setting. Before the age of computers people might have their own model train sets and watch trains go around a track or something, now you can actually be inside the train and twiddle nobs and get tasks to do, all while going around a real areas

Also some of those simulator games are actually very popular if you look at the sales statistics.
