Jump throwing

I hate to be killed by ranged, but when a thrower jumps in front of me, and trows something over my shield into my face, i die with a smile.

What I'm trying to say, i like jump-trowing. They take a huge risk by jumping in front of someone and trow, rather then try to block and run.

So bring back jump-throwing

Edit: Throwing instead of trowing

But you can still have smile on your face when pikeman stabs you to the face while jumping around like a little monkey. Isn't that funny enough?

Being able to jump and throw is an important part of the gameplay for throwers.

Simple explanation is the lack of accuracy. Being able to lop (lob?) a projectile over the infantry in front of the thrower helps avoiding team hits. The accuracy is too low to throw safely through said infantry line. Therefore jump-throws have to come back into the game.

I realise that throwers are rather rare or for trolling. Those few of us who actually accept the support role have a broken game mechanism. Although we don't have a lobby, please fix it ASAP!
When west germany annexed east germany, nobody moved a finger too.

Throwers are great in little corridols, on the ladders, inside alleys.
With my whole gen of thrower I made 1.5:1 K:D, as total noob who never played this class before. It's not true you need jumping to do your job, as I never used that part, it is too fancy and unrealistic for me to use it.

But I would like to see fix with taking things from the ground, since sometimes I had problems picking up my axes again.
Also, I don't like how weapon changes from ranged to melee mode. It should be something like - when you use change mode button, it will do so when axes will be ready. Because many times I just didn't know can they switch to melee already or not.. bah, i'm dead. This mechanism should be simplified.

I don't see jumping as "important part of the gameplay". Throwers are pretty powerful against low/middle armored targets as they are now. And yes, you need to position yourself well or you won't be able to help your team, but I don't see this as a problem.
Accuracy is more than fine, and I had "just" (?) 130 WPF in throwing, 120 WPF in 1h. It was good enough on range and in melee.

I don't necessarily mind jump throwing.  I do think it's kind of bullshit that a throwing weapon does more damage than a weapon that has someone's full body weight and inertia behind it though.

Throwing costs too freaking much, thats why its rare. With lower costs id gladly be a thrower.

The funniest class to play, and I didn't see jump throwing to be anyhow OP. And some poeple want to nerf it even more? lol

True dat. With my throwing lances and my dress I make money only on x5, which is quite stupid since I only got 4 lances to throw and can barely take one arrow  :?

I dislike all ranged equally. But these days I hate throwers the most, they do ridiculous damage and they are the always in your face but not fighting in melee. Was a thrower two gens ago, thinking about making it permanent but simply don't enjoy playing douchebag roles.

When I was still young padawan, throwing was OP for a full month and I was thrower during that time. Throwing allowed me to kill players much better than me. That's the definition of throwing.

what to you are non douchebag classes? :P

Everything that's exclusive to this game and that's melee and to some degree mounted combat (I don't think it's very well implemented but it's way better than in any other game that's for sure).

Can't play shooters anymore, have every major FPS on Steam/Origin but don't play any of them. Besides having fun in Dark Souls, this is the only game I've spent more than two hours in last two years. And I love it because melee mechanics. Don't care about medieval setup at all.

I would think either all ranged get jump shots or none of them do.

Disagree, much easier to be accurate jump throwing than jump shooting a bow or xbow :P

Buff ranged in general. Yet another nerf to ranged and nothing happens to 2h. Seems legit.
