Cyberpunk 2077 (Ones who made Witcher series)

CD Projekt is making this game.

Really love Cyberpunk type of games, movies. (Bladerunner, Equilibrium, Deus Ex series etc..). And they say it's gonna be a completely OPEN-RPG type of game. No gameplay so far but the concept is promising. Plus Witcher 1-2 were good games so i have faith in this.



So, what do you guys think about it? Win or Fail?

Personally, can't wait. Have a huge hard-on for cyberpunk and steampunk games (Deus Ex ftw).

When it comes to books i tend to stay out of sci-fi and such lol. Dunno why. Sci-Fi are best as movies, series and games imo.

But that's just me but yeah. Looks great.

Hmmm well im playing witcher 2 atm, I was expected it to be greatly refined from witcher 1, but its still really bad game overall. I still like the graphics/setting/story, but the combat is awful spam left click and wait till enemies die. and the ui general mechanics of the game are still shoddy, I had 2 bugs preventing me from completing the tutorial. Yes I had to look up tutorials for the fucking tutorial. not worth my money even on steam sale.

so CD projecktkct are successful for making 2 bad games both adaptations of a someone elses successful books. they seem like cool guys for being anti drm, but I dont see any reason to be hyped about their next game, especially if its their own IP.

Well, you seem to be in a minority in considering their games bad. Although, I do agree. The combat in both games is not good. And this is based on Cyberpunk 2020

well i just completed it and i did enjoy it overall but I stand by what I said. if its based on something that gives me more hope.

yeah but in witcher enemies (even bosses) are stunned each time u hit them, once u land 1 hit you can follow up stun lock until they die, even vs multiple enemies since you are never stunned from damage yourself.

Witcher 1 was very repetitive but awesome. Witcher 2 was one of my favourite RPG's of all time and it's incredibly well made. Not to mention the massive updates they did to Witcher 2 months after release. The combat in any RPG is like that. Skyrim, Dragon Age, Witcher, none of them have complex combat systems but all are amazing games.

Seriously looking forward to this now.

Hope this will be what the future will look like. Blade Runner and Deus Ex esque. Start up with futuristic buildings, augmentations. Governments issuing martial law.

I own both Witcher games and I just can't muster the motivation to play more of the first one (I had planned on playing through both) because of the constant running back and forth in that first town and the fact that it's so poorly optimized. I want to see if the story really is as great as I've heard but the pacing and design is a bit off-putting at the moment.

This one could be interesting though if it's true that they learned from the first Witcher when making the second and then even updated the second further and released it for free to people who owned it already.

skyrim may not have brilliant combat but its spectacular compared to witcher/dragon age which are basically auto attack rubbish.

I would say that Dragon Age has the most tactical combat but it's also party based.
