Well, for the sole purpose of getting to level 35, there's no need to retire after gen 7 or 8 or so. The time needed to get to 35 just get's longer.

Getting to level 35 with full 3x heirloomed armour/weapons is a different story though.

Glad to see people are breaking the new retirement system too.

Get off your high horse.  What else is there to do when you hit level 31 - grind for weeks to get to level 32 or try a new and unique build with different weapon specialities and have fun learning with a new set of skills and ability point allocations.  Some people really enjoy the game and play a bit more, to call it breaking the system is silly and spiteful.  They shouldn't retire because it offends you?  chadz actually did a good job in the sense that retirement really doesn't give some overwhelming advantage (like pre-patch), if you can't manual block you are still going to suck in combat, if you can't aim you are still going to suck at ranged, because all you are getting are slightly improved stats.  And if you are wondering, yes I often use my non-heirloomed equipment (like playing with different items, gets boring otherwise) and do roughly the same with k/d.  It doesn't make anywhere near a big enough difference that you need to get so worked up about it (though I do say for archery its about the only thing that actually makes it close to being still a viable class).

then got laid off
now i am gen 11

They need to make it so the multiplier doesnt drop down to 1 when you lose a round, If I have x5 and lose a round, make it go down to x3 or some crap, if you have x3, make it go down to x2,

Yeh, my clanmates have talked about this before, it makes a lot more sense that way. They should have also kept the 1500 base xp they originally had with the big patch before the minor updates and just lowered the xp bonus to 5% instead with a maximum of 100% bonus.
