Any tips on what tank to use as a new player?  i like medium tanks I think

Just try out everything, tanks up to tierIV are cheap and fast to grind through.

i would suggest a heavy tank for new players because medium tanks are too weak and take some practice to use. Atleast thats my humble opinion.

Or just play an SPG and drink coffee and read a newspaper while you're contributing.

Meh, heavy tanks are expensive and also need good knowledge of the maps to deploy properly.

Played a few rounds again today and decided to upgrade one of my default medium pnz(or whatever.) had some good games, rarely died unless one of the tracks broke down and i was pinned down in the open. I must say that this game is amazing fun, allthough there seems to be zero to none variation in maps(like three?). Topped scoreboards a few times, had one map where a bunch of guys joined me in a "blitzkrieg" worked fairly well allthough we mostly encountered light tanks and we were with 2 med 3 lights, took a few hits but barely got scratched, outmaneouvered them like a boss and won the round with just one loss. T'was awesome to put together some teamwork and have faster vehicles flank(allthough none ofthem are particulary fast, it still worked).

I don't think i've chosen one, I usually press battle, filtered on random match, and fight those dudes, it never asked me to choose anything..
Have done like 10 games so far, still learning the ropes and whats what!

Ooh!  well it's obviously German, it has medium in it's name.. One of the starter tanks..  i was soimpatient that i started upgrading after my fourth match..

There are different maps available for different tiers. A lot more maps for later tiers.
