I have a suggestion relating to the selection of classes. I see there are two classes within the polearm infantry group called hoplite and polearmer. I would like to see the hoplite group expanded to include longspears and pikes, perhaps called support polearm, or poke polearm. To me hoplites and pikemen seem very similar in that they both use long one directional stabbing weapons.
I would gladly fill that class as a hoplite myself, but the theme my team will be adhering to does not allow shields. Apart from board shields, which we will be using until the melee encounter. Now I see very little reason to not fill the hoplite class with a different type of poke polearm. If I must, I will spawn with a bamboo spear and a board shield which I will put on my back, but I think it makes sense to put pikemen in the hoplite class rather than the general polearm class.
Now another question, these boards shields that we plan only on using for some base ranged cover for the initial close in, is it disallowed to drop those? A samurai fighting with a shield on it's back doesn't look right, that is all.
