LoL is alright. I don't think I'll ever be a true fan of this game style though. They are like PVP games for PVE grinders.

Would like to get into LoL & Dota more though, just because they are a big deal atm in gaming. I probably like watching people play these games more than play them myself

League is fun. Simplicity is amazing in its own way. Managing and predicting teammates you have never met before is hard and fun.
The popularity of League of Legends is amazing as well. Riot games are doing really well. Almost every single one of my friends play league casually or competitively.

Hm sure the matchmaking in dota can fuck you over pretty good but I've had some silly experiences in LoL with that as well. It's just very hard to do proper matchmaking imo, as there's too many factors to player skill.
