How about a level 45 week, in which every character gets level 45 temporarily, for those that did not experience being level 45 in cRPG. It would be glorious and retarded at the same time. Exactly what this game needs right now.

Evolution?

Welcome to Jurassic park.
PK is back

PK is a collection of elites from throughout modern and ancient history. Giants of Calradia individually, as a group these gods of combat shatter all expectations and ascend to a higher plain of victory that only a few have seen before.

It's the "good old days" cliché all over again; people tend to remember only the positive aspects and completely disregard all the issues the mod had back then. Besides, you can bring back old item stats and game mechanics, but there is no way to revert player skill increase or meta.
We'll stick with evolution, thank you.

I dont think its the "good old days" they miss. Its the brief memory of how things used to be so much different.  Its just that the mod has really worn out for them by now and they would like to have some wierd stuff on the side that is totally different from the everyday Crpg grind. Getting everything OP again whouldnt really solve anything. You would have fun for like a week tops and the rest of the time you would spend being pissed and GTXting cause the OP stuff doesnt really leave any room for error.

Ofcourse this is just my speculation, its not a fact.

Just have a server for the old mod with a small area on the site for those of us that miss the golden glory days :3

I would actually really dig that. Us in NA didn't get that xmas rpg thing, and I'm sure if they made it clear that the server wasn't a temporary thing, a lot more people would get in on it. I for one would love to try good ol' fashioned c-rpg.
I'm rock, nerf paper, scissors is fine. Welcome to c-RPG.

I demand my 190 2H wpf back, plus 6 Power Throw! I also demand to be bumped to death by an unarmed tin can on a plated charger... oh wait...

The thing I miss most from the old system was being a peasant. Back then, you REALLY felt like a peasant. Trying to stay alive for as long as possible while poking knights with a pitchfork was a hilarious amount of fun. When you actually could afford a new piece of gear it was the best thing in the world.

If you're a peasant in the current version, you're just inconvenienced for what, an hour?

Just turn the server speed up a notch or two would give the game a bit of pow.
Smooth is the admin NA deserves. Not being that much better, EU deserves Thomek.

this was so great!  its not quite the same now i guess,  although ofc one is only once at that point....

i remember how pissed i was when i finally had the money to buy myslelf my first horse,  and than it sucked donkey balls.  haha.
SUMPTERCAV.

my maybe best moment of primary leveling was just after I had bought myself a hauscarls shield and a mail armor and for the first time stood in a shield wall,  with an underpowered team against a horde of monsters with gatling bows,  black armored cans and superspeed leather coat shielders.  Was the first time I yeld something in chat too ^^

aaaaaaaah,  nostalgia :'D
Yes, I know from whence I came! Discontented as a flame, Upon myself I live and glow. All I grasp like lightning flashes, All I leave behind is ashes
Flame I am - that much I know!

I never thought I would say that, but I think making the game a bit more "deadly" again could be fun. But it needs to be done very carefully, or the whine will be great.

The problem is personal perception. With the current extend of nerfs all classes except of 2hd have to live with, everyone (except of 2hd) is less lethal, and thus you are allowed to make more mistakes without being killed instantly in the process. With deadlier classes mistakes will be more fatal, and players will perceive it as "this guy killed me too easily, he must be OP", not seeing that they are killing masses of other players equally easily. You don't see the stress and hectic the other player is suffering from when he is killing you. All you see is an expressionless toon which chops you into pieces and runs on, and instinctively you imagne someone who had not the slightest problems killing you, barely taking notice of you while score whoring. If this happens too often, if it looks too easy, you start to get the impression of the class being OP, because not everybody can be that skilled.

With the current state, where everybody needs several hits and quite some time to kill you, you see it didn't happen without effort, and yo know you had plenty of time to win the fight, and thus you don't rage that hard.

Is there a way to cover or disable your signature Vibe?

On the grey bar on top of the board (under those grey boards) click on "Profile", choose "Forum Profile", then on the left side click on "Look and Layout" and check the box with "Do not show user signatures". This disables all signatures though. Otherwise put Vibe on ignore, but I wouldn't recommend that. He's an asshat, but definitely no shitposter... well, at least sometimes, when it's important
Joker makes a very good point.
