Appe, Cris and George still play. Mtemko got hired as a shepherd in slovenian Alps so he doesn't have the time to play anymore, he needs to take care of the sheep.

Infact im busy playing WoT...... I feel much better now... while playing crpg i GTX every 20 minutes lately..... I fucking hate and love this mod at the same time.

LIES! That was the best damn time ever.

It was simple and good, wish they could give us some sort of Classic Crpg feature.
Don't mind the fish.

Barn and firebombs, open field + shield walls, strategus beggining, all the battles i won as last man standing against 5 to 15 people and so the hero myth, my fellow mercs i played with since 1 year now even if the clan wasn't created yet

i think it's the best things i'll remember from this mod

invisible shields, turtle mod with shield on the back, prison in the sky, invisible walls in open field, when heraldic mail was one of the best amors, first beta-test of strategus against templars, gnjus opening the door, villages castles and cities  we took with the lame shieldwall and archer spam tactic, ehr it's also some of the epic events i knew

People telling on the chat the amount of gold they received when the battle had finished, pseudo-aimbots, people dreaming on the forums about siege mode, the big melees with -almost- only tincans fighting and the tutorials saying that you had to follow the "experienced players" to survive on the battlefield...

These were good ol' days, but cRPG could have grown worse, and Defend the Village is quite a promising gamemode...

I once took up defense against the irc using the same goddamn tactic. People finally listened to me as a commander :P. We were hopelessly doomed, but we made OkiN rage so much about the casualties that he didn't pay a lot of the mercenaries.

The infamous Campalot castle map, where Arthur the Camper was seated. With Burr1ck abusing his great maul to own those campers, ah yes.

The Oasis map where people only shouted:  'Shieldwall!', while Bane slashed them to pieces with his axe on his horse. Where I as a little Magikarp used my Great Bardiche to get some kills, but not much.

Good times indeed.
Don't mind the fish.

Grinding hardcore for the sword of tears, which is a much more awesome name than german greatsword to be honest.

Not worrying about getting to the next generation, good times.

Looney Tunes axe times were good times. Those epic onehit kills against a whole mob of angry enemies.

The thing I miss the most now is the xp and gold on the duel server. Duels never get old like battles or other modes. I usually play from 23h to 5h when I join EU_3... I remember I nearly grinded all my way from 34 to 36 only doing duels. Those were good times, when level differences were big enough you could really pretend you had skill when you killed someone obviously advantaged over you.

What happened to players like : Appe (he was such a my old friend ^^); MTE; Cris; Kesh (GTX after nerfed at lvl 46?) and Panzermarine?
And i really miss the times when i was hiding somewhere near the battle in my lousy armor just to get a little bit money.
And the 222 ppl server was epic fun until it crashed.

The best days..
