Ewww, go to gym instead. Running, doing sit-ups, pull up's, squats etc at home won't get you big or win any challenge thrown at you.
That's a lie. All you need is imagination & dedication. I'm currently 94kg/182cm, went to gym for like 8 months, till I found out the alternative way. Now I've been playing around with bodyweight & weight plates in backbag, and it's great. The start is hard, I have read 3 books about this kind of training, and then just played around... Nothing better than waking up at 7am at summer & going outside to work out..
Book I would recommend for anyone interested in training with bodyweight is Mark Laurens "You are your own gym", tons of great exercises & information in there, but the key thing here is to try it out yourself & creating your own way to workout.
I doubt any of you guys going to gym can do handstand pushups right now. I can do 13 without taking support from wall.. With support of wall I can do somewhere around 30-40, haven't really tested it out lately.
E:Also the "bodybuilding" itself is kinda stupid in my opinion. The goal of bodybuilding is to get muscles that look huge, but most of the bodybuilders don't really have that great strenght and muscle endurance. They workout just to get their body to look the certain way. While strenght & endurance trainees workout to gain strenght or endurance / both...
