Well, to be honest I think it's ok as it is now. I still top the scoreboard so lancing is far from useless.
It just gets some time to get used to. Good nerf? Yeah, probably.

But people will still complain abour lancers being OP, that is for sure.

Hell yes, but people will still complain that an archer can hit them from afar, and not get a protective piece of wood, and people will still want to have duels in the middle of a bloody battle, and expect that without taking any care no cav will poke them, and that they are the very best and can slaughter everyone because they all are heroes, like in SP...
I do not think any updates will change that mentality.

And btw, I will retry heavy lance cav in a few days, when I have time to bring my cav alt back to a decent level

It is quite interesting that the error of turning your back to someone far away that cannot stay more than one fifth of a second in the vicinity of any hostile force and that can only attack in a pattern predictable two seconds (if not more) in advance is considered not that important and less penalized than turning your back to virtually any 2h or polearm for one tenth of a second in the heat of a melee fight.

Funny how the new polearm is better than a mw heavy lance. All inf. wanted was for the lances to not be able to couche. Great lance is mean for couching, make that only have couche.

If the couching ability had been removed instead of the decrease in damage, it would have been much less of a nerf.
The point of couching previously was to make a certain 1 hit kill, expecially on a horse. Couching now is quite useless. Just like thrusting is.

But I don't mind. I will keep playing lancer no matter how much it gets nerfed.

Just cav, and it will always be OP. Insanely high knockdown chance (based on velocity) simply be pressing W at someone.

No its not, a guy (archer) survive my great lance couch at 75% speed today, the chance to survive a couch is like 5-10% :O

No. Someone with medium armour or above will almost always survive a couch lance.
Someone with clothes or light armour seems to survive most of the time as well.
