I've been trying to get some clear info on this, but wasn't able to. What is the exact relation between troops, goods and horses and how does one maximize his speed?

1. Troops need to be more/equal than goods number (but u can have different kinds of goods, as long as none of them separately excede the troops number) to have basic speed levels.
2. For bonus speed u need more horses than troops and goods (not sure with different goods, but i think it doesnt work with horses as with troops alone, so here the total number of all goods together counts, but correct me if i'm wrong)

More horses than troops + crates
thats the old rules, since the last strat update, its with goods and not crates anymore, if the goods excede troops u get a heavy speed nerf.

Isn't that a seperate rule?

We're talking about speed bonus from horses? They seriously changed it to goods instead of crates? So if I have a 900 goods which = 150 crates, I now need 901 horses to get like a +4 metres/min speed bonus instead of 151? Seems a bit excessive if true...

It's also dependent on how whether or not it's the same type if goods. 100 goods x and 100 goods y needs less horses than 200 goods of just x.
This was wrong. Thank Bjarky for correcting.

This game isn't about being skillful as much as its about saying things in general chat that enrage people who then go to murder you but in their rage they make dumb mistakes which gets them killed.

Yep, thats how it is now
I also checked the values with horses and multible good types to be sure: its the total number of all goods together, so 2*100 or 1*200 doesn't matter here, thats only for troops.
Horses only give bonus speeds if they are more or equal than all goods and an extra speed bonus if they also are more or equal than troops.

So 2 nerfs to trade then in last patch...?

-Massive crate penalty to carrying more good of one type than troops (force traders to spend more time gathering multiple types, so lowering efficiency)

-And a stealth nerf to speed bonus from horses by linking horse thresholds to goods instead of crates (so basically 6x more horses needed to achieve higher speed).

I guess the devs really wanted to make trade more difficult.

yes the goal was that clans can't use up all their s&d, so independents and small clans have more access again.
time will show if this works.
