For those who say armor is unimportant, look at it this way :
In the gear of the defenders, most players, on average, would die in 2-3 hits, obv sometimes it would take more, sometimes less, lets say though that it takes 3 hits to kill a defender.
2270 x 3 = 6810 hits that the defenders in total are able to endure.
Now looking at the gear of the attackers, I would say that most players would be able to take 4-5 hits before going down, again sometimes less, sometimes more, but again lets take 5 as the number.
1600 x 5 = 8000 hits that the attackers in total are able to endure.
In other words, the difference in gear was enough to, in effect, give the numerical advantage to the attackers.
