Javelins are seriously lacking compared to their bigger brothers, the jarids. While the jarids are strong (for throwing :P ), javelins are weaker (suprisingly despite only 6 difference in pierce), way weaker than they should be for the price. It takes me 3 javelins in the chest of a medium armoured cavalry man, charging towards me (so speed bonus) for him to die. I realise I am using 5 pt, but there is 145 wpf and mw javelins going into that armour :P

I suggest that some sort of buff be applied to javelins (at least). Maybe a damage increase, or add 1 more javelin per stack or even just lower the price to match the cost.

Yes this is a buff that would help me out, but at the same time I think many would agree that javelins are under represented in crpg.

Edit : throwing spears look a little weak as well, they could definitely do with a price reduction imo.

Throwing spears are good, got 4 ammo, jarrids and javs got 3.
1H stab is the fastest, strongest and longest 1H animation. There's no reason NOT to use it in all instances. I don't know if it's OP, but it's boring. 1H used to be fun because you had a fast (left), long (right) and the most devastating attack (stab) and had to choose the best attack for each occasion.

Javelins have better accuracy dont they? And with the low requirement they can be used with a low PT build.. Throwing spears have 4 ammo which is nasty.

Its a bit like saying you would want [Insert Random lower tier 1h/2h/polearm an make it better than its higher tier counterpart]
I've never played a server where people split up as much or as often as on EU1.  No wonder range is having a field day.

Actually you're wrong here, he uses javs because he's in love with how they look and he got them 3+'d.

Javelins are my thing, the other pierce throwing weapons never appealed. I'm asking for them to be reviewed because I think that they are not nearly worth the money atm. Simple as, just like the wakazashi isn't worth the gold to use :P

Plus I am not asking it to be better than jarids or throwing spears, just closer to them in competetiveness. If Javelins were better than them then I'd ask for a nerf :P

All throwing could use a ammo buff but dont forget throwing is the most hated item class ingame by devs so dont count your hopes for a buff

Javelins are pretty weak, but they shouldn't be buffed in power to compete with jarids.

I think boosting ammo to 4 would be fair, so they have more appeal as a skirmishing weapon, while jarid is more of a stopping weapon.

I dunno, javelins are in line with the pricing of heavy throwing axes. If you want one more per stack, upgrade to throwing spears. If you want more damage, upgrade to jarids. Invest more money and skill points to have a better item option  :?: :?: :?:
