If Power Throw doesn't affect damage, they forgot to tell Artie. Dude one-shots me with his +3 Jarids all the time, even on torso/leg hits.
I have +3 heavy throwing axes with only 5 PT and 91 WPF, and they seem to hit pretty hard, except on heavy armor.
You have to know that in this game the armor reduce incoming damages by a flat number (not exactly but we can consider this) :
Imagine doing 60 damage with your throwing weapon and the enemy has 70 armor :
70 armor => -50 incoming damage => 60-50 => you do 10 damage
Now we add the fact that your enemy is moving toward you, and he takes +20% damage because of it :
60 * 1.2 => 72 damage
70 armor => -50 incoming damage => 72-50 => you do 22 damage
You can see that with a boost of 20% the throwing weapon did +120% damage, this fact apply for everything else (mele/archery/xbow). Just dont run toward him when he is throwing something on you, it'll double his damage.
unfortunatelly , i tested the damage by different PT in enough wpf.
The damage almost have no different in 7 PT , 8 PT , 9 PT , 10 PT with 130 wpf without any armor
no matter facing no armor , light armor ,or heavy armor .
the only one obvious different is thrwoing range.
does POWERTHROW not affect damage now ?
and i saw this http://forum.meleegaming.com/beginner's-help-and-guides/strength-archers/
POWERDRAW seems like the same problem ?
devs should tell us the exact damge computer formula.
PT/PD affect damage but i think it's based on the weapon damage, as bows have little damage output PD doesn't affect your killing power much. In the other hand you lose wpf by increasing your PD/PT and as wpf increase damage .... well you lose some damage as well.
