strange throwing weapon damage

i want to make my +3 heavy throwing axe maxmium throwing  damge,
so i try powerthrow 7 , powerthrow 8 , .... powerthrow 13 in duel server with my friend.
but something is so strange.
Powerthrow does not apparently affect damage.
and even powerthrow 13 is unbelievable so low damage.
i guess one reason is wpf minus per powerthrow , so throwing wpf is nagtive when powerthrow 13.
but i dont know the exact formula for throwing damage caculate now.
someone teach me how to maximize the throwing damage ?
forgive my english

You need 13 wpf per point in Power Throw, and then the amount of armor you are wearing will further decrease that.

Use this link: http://infinitum.dyndns.org/crpg/calc.htm
Weapon Damage Calculator >> Fill in the "Power Strike" entry for your desired power throw and select the weapon type as throwing, voila. Adjust as needed for your armor, wpf etc and you will see the "Effective WPF" change accordingly

if i dont have enough throwing WPF for powerthrow penalty...
so my effective throwing WPF become 1 or below ?
and what kind of exact penalty do i suffer except wpf becoming 1?
by the way , heavy throwing axe is still un-accuracy even i have 5 powerthrow and "170" throwing wpf without any armor.
wtf..

The goal of Strategus battles shouldnt be to deprive your enemies of players, but to have full roster both sides and have the gear/tactics/strategy win the day rather than lack of merc support.

Your powerthrow is lowered to match your wpf in throwing. For example, if you have 30 wpf, your max powerthrow will be two.

unfortunatelly , i tested the damage by different PT in enough wpf.
The damage almost have no different in 7 PT , 8 PT , 9 PT , 10 PT with 130 wpf without any armor
no matter facing  no armor , light armor ,or heavy armor .
the only one obvious different is thrwoing range.
does  POWERTHROW not affect damage now ?

and i saw this  http://forum.meleegaming.com/beginner's-help-and-guides/strength-archers/
POWERDRAW seems like the same problem ?
devs should tell us the exact damge computer formula.

If Power Throw doesn't affect damage, they forgot to tell Artie. Dude one-shots me with his +3 Jarids all the time, even on torso/leg hits.

I have +3 heavy throwing axes with only 5 PT and 91 WPF, and they seem to hit pretty hard, except on heavy armor. I'll probably drop down to 4 PT next gen, as throwing seems to be more about hoping for that lucky headshot than raw damage.

You have to know that in this game the armor reduce incoming damages by a flat number (not exactly but we can consider this)  :

Imagine doing 60 damage with your throwing weapon and the enemy has 70 armor :

70 armor => -50 incoming damage => 60-50 => you do 10 damage

Now we add the fact that your enemy is moving toward you, and he takes +20% damage because of it :

60 * 1.2 => 72 damage
70 armor => -50 incoming damage => 72-50 => you do 22 damage

You can see that with a boost of 20% the throwing weapon did +120% damage, this fact apply for everything else (mele/archery/xbow). Just dont run toward him when he is throwing something on you, it'll double his damage.

unfortunatelly , i tested the damage by different PT in enough wpf.

PT/PD affect damage but i think it's based on the weapon damage, as bows have little damage output PD doesn't affect your killing power much. In the other hand you lose wpf by increasing your PD/PT and as wpf increase damage .... well you lose some damage as well.

The calculator Tears linked is good for planning your build, but the WPF is wrong on that site, so I wouldn't use the damage calculator either.

For checking how much WPF you can have at certain levels of agility and WM, use this link:

To be honest, the best heavy throwing axe build I've ever used is chucky_tossers old build. 12/27 all the way.

Isn't it also for PT where if you have 13 PT but your throwing weapon only needs a PT of 4 you can only go like 3-4 places above it in damage? So if you have more it is wasted? or is that only for the bow?
I am the shadow that lingers in your wake. I am four steps behind and two before you. You are trapped. Always.
I checked, the only Vagabond I found was Wolves_Vagabond_TheCruel, that guy is now unbanned. Ban reason was: "calling Zotte a cockswoggler".
