Renaming character

I think the renaming option has few flaws.

1) When it says name is available, and yet it never gets accepted.

Why is this?

I tried to rename my character Sus_The_Armored_Tusk to Sus for 8 times, only to realise Sus probably doesn't get accepted.. The_Armored_Tusk was my clan part.

For a fee of 1,000 gold you can fix typos or add a clan tag. Full name changes are only allowed when retiring. All requests are manually reviewed so it might take a while until it is accepted.

After that, I changed my name to Susk and it got accepted almost right away.
If 3 letter names are too short, it should say so.
I remind you, it said the name Sus was available.

2) When your name change gets rejected, you never get the reason why on the website.

This is what bother me the most. I don't know how hard it would be for the admins to have, well, let's say a little list which they click the reason, like "Racist", "Changes too much", "Too short" etc. and it then shows when you go to check your name change again if it got rejected. I know names like "White Power" and such are automatically rejected, but what's wrong with Sus?

Edit: admins wouldn't have to WRITE anything, just SELECT an option, like "Racist" or "Changes too much", so it wouldn't take their time.

3) People should give a reason why they're changing, like "adding 'the_lazy' to my name", "misspell" or "clan tag". This would make the admins job easier, so they know why you are changing.

1H stab is the fastest, strongest and longest 1H animation. There's no reason NOT to use it in all instances. I don't know if it's OP, but it's boring. 1H used to be fun because you had a fast (left), long (right) and the most devastating attack (stab) and had to choose the best attack for each occasion.

I guess the one who denied the change didn't realize "The_Armored_Tusk" was the clan tag.

Well, when I played with the character, I always played with my friend who also had the tag, and I was on a similary named clan, too.

Also, I've change things like "the_Lazy" "the_Useless" back to normal names.

I agree, you should be able to give a small 'reason' why you are requesting a name change.

Even just a small box with like 20 words maximum.

"Reason for name change: Left clan/Someone else with similar name/Easier for people to pronounce"

I agree

Both of these should be added, so people can tell why they change it, and admins tell why they reject them if they do.

Asking admins to give a reason for each namechange they reject is too much... They are here to play the game, and if they have to type a reason instead of just accepting/rejecting it will consume so much more time... (loads of namechanges each day.

This would make the waiting time for a namechange even longer..

Would be better to give the player the possibility to give the reason of their namechange. (you as example, i never guessed that The_Armored_Tusk was a clan... just a guy randomly changing his name it appears to me)

request namechange then buzz an admin on IRC, they'll tell you why it wasn't accepted (if it wasn't)

Why would we have to do this? Isn't adding a sort of a list to the rejecting thing, like you select an option for "Racist" or "Changes too much" or "I don't like it", and they just tick their selection. Would take a admins less time

Now, as I said, a little list with selection of few rejection lines would be great! No need to write anything, would take one more click from the admin.

And on the "The_Armored_Tusk", people often add stuff like "the_weak" or "the_useless" and I see those getting switched often (I've done that many times).

I cant tell you how much money I used to waist on Renaming my char either adding a clan tag or just making a silly name its always rejected, felt like i was paying for some pricks upkeep for awhile cause I tried repeatedly. I mean why is the option even there anymore and who appointed "THE ASS" for this job. If your trying to keep foolish names out then you do a terrible job. Join NA and press tab you'll see guys names like Penis_Toucher, Pickle_Tickler, Im_Gay.
