this port is one of crappiest ive ever seen. it absolutely outclasses gta 4 in shittynes and is on par with saints row 2.

Tseng: Used to the bitter taste of refusal, this only serves to reinforce his greatest life lession yet.

It is crappy, they only made it because people really wanted it on pc. Luckily mods fixes most of the problems.

Yeah, it's a pretty shitty port.  You really need to use the DSFix mod and a XBOX360 or PS3 (via MotionJoy) controller.  If you can do that then it gets much better.  If you're not willing to do that then, yeah, it's probably unplayable.

I needed to grind to level 35 to beat the Gargoyles and the Carprademon with my hunter

Finally I have seen a littel bit of story going on. Still I am in the dark what that Lady at Firelinkshrine is up to...

Really. I like the fighting in Dark Souls, but ... there seems to be something like a story somewhere, but it really is well hidden. I mean, I met some strangers and freed some others. But all the characters I meet are only talking gibberish to me. Does it will make some sense later?

Did I miss something? I only got that I have to make my way up and ring the bell, then go down and ring the bell. Then someone/something will emerge... errr. What???  Will I get some statisfying reason, why I do all that awesome fighting ever?

Mystery is one of the coolest things about Dark Souls. You're not being forcefully fed with excessive amounts of lore you don't give shit about, instead you need to figure out things on your own from the scraps you find.

Protip: read item descriptions, they're probably the prime source of direct information.

Also, I wouldn't trust snakes.

When youve finished the game, all the lore is on the youtubes, in depth. But that may spoil the fun in finding the lore yourself.

And like Tot said, read item descriptions. It may not be the most fun way of finding lore, but piecing stuff together and finding out stuff through that is pretty sweet.

In Dark Souls (and Demon's Souls), you find tiny bits of lore through talking with people, loading screens and item descriptions, but sometimes even the enemies of a given zone or the place where a specific armor can be found will hint you things that you may or may not understand or link to something else at first. Most if not all of it is utterly useless for completing the game though.

Also, I wouldn't trust snakes.

That one is more subtle than you might think at first.
