Hitting the ground at the end of the animation leaves me stunned for at least a full second, that's deadly. I have ~100wpf in polearms.

I get stunned quite a lot with my 69 speed pike. I would probably die a lot more from it if people just did basic attacks after I get stunned. Instead, they try to impress me with their feinting, I block, sidesteps backwards, jump 270 degrees and stab them in the face.

And then it's all the crying in chat that pikes are too good for dueling in chat afterwards. Hilarious that they can't just kill me with basic attacks, but have to impress me themselves with their feinting when trying to kill. I'm using a 69 speed 300 length weapon up close and most guys are too retarded to take me down.
I voted Gurnisson cause of his fucking bendy pike, I swear noone can roflcopter stab like he can.

Yeah it's funny how many people have trouble with pikes/long spears when it's incredibly simple to beat even the best. Just facehug and spam away, when they jump, block (unless you already started your swing and they are in range, I catch them alot on jump even with a short range weapon). Nothing honourable in that, but that's the way to beat them everytime. A good spear/pike guy can block for a while to stay alive, but still only have a predictable one directional attack, eventually you can spam them down.

It's easy if you have athletics, try hugging with low athletics- all you can do is block down and hope that the next guy joining the party is your ally...
