Hybrid-Powa!

Now that i tried out agiwhoring with 12/27 i actually wanted to do a pikeman, but since you only really need athletics and power strike to be one, i thought i could just throw in some wpf and try to invest the rest of the points to get a nice hybrid going. And here's what i came up with:

(click to show/hide)

(click to show/hide)

I'd probably go with the first one, but i'm not quite sure it's enough Throwing wpf or if i should ditch some polearm and get more 1handed. Has anyone ever tried going shielder with that few wpf in 1h?

Or any other suggestions? I would really like a nice variety next build, though.

Throwing wpf seems already a bit too high tbh.
I don't know all these calculations Lactose did on throwing but from my experience you're fine with 80-90 wpf in throwing if you're not focusing on it anway.
No matter how much wpf you use on throwing, it will never be anywhere close to accurate. Esspecially if you're throwing while moving or with shield.
Throwing wpf at 90 and the rest rather into 1h.
When west germany annexed east germany, nobody moved a finger too.

I just want to pick up my stuff with medium gear, that is all. My standard-gear is like this:
Body 12,2; Head 3,7; Boots 3,2; Gauntlets 1,2
Would be cool if anyone could calculate how much wpf i need for 4 or 5 PT.

Too heavy, you'll be too slow with just 5 ATH. Heavy Aketon is the heaviest armor you should wear with that build. Also you need to be around 10 weight total (x4 gloves, x2 head) to have 100 wpf.

Pikeman + other weps is a problem cuz you will be constantly dropping your pike... Pikeman really is a specialist.

You should either focus on all AGI, be 15-24, light armor and a support pikeman who generally stays in the 2nd rank behind infantry and supports him. Or be the opposite, 27-12 in heavy armor, frontline pikeman. on NA Tanked & Shinock do quite well like this.

If you wanna be polearm + throw you can. Throw + 1h is generally more compatable, but a polearm or 2h picking up throw to give anti-horse ability, or generally just some extra skirmishing ability still works. Slamz in my clan does, generally uses a great long axe.

Strength: 21
Agility: 15
Skills to attributes: 2
Ironflesh: 7
Power Strike: 7
Athletics: 5
Power Throw: 5
Weapon Master: 5
Polearm: 111
Throwing: 112

he's actually using PT6 now and throwing spears.

Nah, 4 PS won't do it for me, i figured that out with this gen^^

Been playing with 15 Agi and 5 ATH for ages now and i think it's just about enough for decent footwork. But 10 weight is the archer-restriction, isn't it? oO
I thought you can wear much more if it comes to throwing...too bad i have no idea where to find that formula.

I don't mean to use the throwing stuff when i use the long spear, i just want to be able to switch my style whenever i want^^

One thing i'd change about that build would probably be investing 5 of those IF to Riding, never been a big fan of IF. =D
But other than that, maybe that might be much more effective than my builds.

IF usefullness scales with armor. 2HP goes a lot further if you are wearing 60+ armour than if you are wearing 40 or lower.

Nice! Thanks man.

Hmm...with the usual equip that would make me have 118wpf in throwing with 5PT. 105 with 4 and 92 with 3 PT. I think i made my choice:

(click to show/hide)

If this turns it to be completely useless, well...there is still respecc xD
But i think i'll be having much fun with that one =D

Thx guys!

Do you not wish horse archery so you can can trow better from horse back.
Or did you leave that on out willingly?

Throwing is only in addition to polearms/1h ^^

Ah okay, I was thinking about trowing aswell, but more in line with HA.
something like this:

    Strength: 15
    Agility: 18
    Hit points: 60

    Attributes to skills: 2

    Ironflesh: 5
    Power Strike: 5
    Shield: 0
    Athletics: 0
    Riding: 6
    Horse Archery: 3
    Power Draw: 5
    Power Throw: 5
    Weapon Master: 6

    One Handed: 105
    Two Handed: 1
    Polearm: 1
    Archery: 100
    Crossbow: 1
    Throwing: 100

I should focus more i guess, but my role is harassing the enemy and supporting.
what do you think?
