Need props, castles? (collaboration)

Hi there.

I'm a Level Design student and got some time to kill this summer.
I would like to develop my 3D skills so any need of props or such I'm happy to help.
Since I don't really know how to import custom meshes to MB I would like to work together with someone.
Give me a shout if you need an extra hand!

This is a few low poly stuff I've made:

I'd also like some random props as well. I don't really know, just be creative I guess.

I really feel like making a Keep. Is there a max poly count? Could I use normal maps? Should I make it modular? Etc etc

You'll need to have Mustikki, Jacko, or Ozin answer those kinds of questions.

If you make props, please break them up into smaller bits that can be used individually. It's so sad that e.g. the Turin keep must always be used as a whole.

What I mean is: break it up into individual walls, make the stairs separate props, as well as any addons like a fireplace or wooden roof, etc. If you want to make some walls destroyed, please also include intact versions, it's so silly that there is the same hole in the wall in the Turin keep in every map that uses it.

If you make good new props that are included in cRPG, many people will love you.

zagibu yep that's what I meant by modular. I've done modular buildings before. Takes alot of time but atleast you guys will be able to mix it up, building your own combinations from the pieces I make.

But I need to know my limits before I start so I'm not lowering performance.

Jacko just add me on skype whenever you got time to speak [email protected]

I'm working daytime but I'm avalible on evenings UTC+01.

To get an idea of polycount, use openbrf and open stronghold_props.brf in your crpg/resource folder, there are some examples. They are very low poly. A few hundreds for a standard battlement.

Maybe keep a copy of the high poly count stuff as well, for people with a better machine?

Zagibu for adminish thing!
1H stab is the fastest, strongest and longest 1H animation. There's no reason NOT to use it in all instances. I don't know if it's OP, but it's boring. 1H used to be fun because you had a fast (left), long (right) and the most devastating attack (stab) and had to choose the best attack for each occasion.
