Ideas to create more 1 slotted 2 handed weapons

Many people have suggested this already but I will be more specific of what I think should be changed.

There are currently only 5 capable 1 slotted 2 handed weapons: Mace, Cudgel, Military Sickle, Fighting Axe, and Langes Messer.
 I have 3 changes that i think should be made to give people a larger choice in choosing a 1 slotted 2 hand weapon.
Here are my suggestions:

Axe- Has only 94 length and 2 weight. Small enough to be 1 slotted.
Bastard Sword- Has only 101 length and 1.8 weight. Smaller than some 1 handed swords.
Katana- Has only 95 length and 1.2 weight. Smaller than many other 1 slotted weapons.

All these weapons are small and light enough to take up only 1 slot. No reason to be 2.

I've never played a server where people split up as much or as often as on EU1.  No wonder range is having a field day.

Strider, you just dont get it, do you? 95 lenght in 1h animation is not the same reach as 95 lenght in 2h animation , same goes for polearms.

They should probably just come up with a flat rule revolving around weight and length to come up with how many slots its supposed to take up.

Every 2H sword that has a scabbard should be 1 shot.

Katana should be removed, that's the only way to balance that weapon.

Yeah. There definately needs to be a system that decides the amount of slots a weapon takes up based on its weight and length.

katana , bastard sword becoming 1 slot weapons is definitely buff range hybrid class.
archers and xbowmans use the most powerful missile shoot and then use the best duel weapon kill remain near dead man.
there will be range hybrid everywhere in battlefield just like native or medieval counter-strike.
do you want that ?

i suggest buff speed of 1h/2h weapon with shield,
making these bastard weapon useful and more variety.

MAKE BASTARD SWORD 1 SLOT! THIS WEAPON NEEDS MORE ATTENTION!
At least give it a 1h no-shield alternate mode or something.

Katana is too powerful to be fair at 1 slot... I'd rather see the Wakizashi as 0 slot.

Axe I don't care about.

Yes, I want to see that. I also want to see pure 2H, pole or whatever builds gone.

Most shielders already carry xbow as backup, those who don't want play melee/ranged hybrids should be allowed to make offensive/defensive melee hybrids (2hpole/hoplite or 2h/shielder). All of those builds should be balanced between themselves and that's hard thing to do. It's much easier to create balance around these cookie cutter builds, which is what they did.

Old leveling system was good because it allowed great hybrids but also pure builds were too strong. Old system with a lot of levels/points but limitations/caps on att/skills/wpf could work very well. But most players are against that, for some reason they like extreme pure builds more than hybrids.

I just want to point out that ladders weren't the problem when everyone could use ranged weapon and be decent hybrid, even at level 30. Ladders on battle map became a problem when they changed the game so that pure builds are the best builds.

Devs of this mod made so many good changes but some of them are very bad although they will never admit that. They fucked up shields with nerf to force field, for example. I don't recall ghosting through shield happening before that.

Archer hybrids weren't OP, arrow damage/speed and especially accuracy were OP. Those who cried that archers kill them in melee are noobs and because devs listened to noobs they removed archery hybrids. That led to xbow/melee hybrids which used mace which is worse than any long weapon, because it's small, black, fast, damaging and has knockdown. I would fight archers with 3 PS and poleaxe any day instead of fighting the same archer with mace. Poleaxe has negative effects on their accuracy, it's easy to see and most importantly, does slow archers a lot (because it's long). And with cut damage and 3 PS he will glance a lot.

I'm all for more 1 slot 2 handers, but there aren't really any viable 2Hers as they stand, as they're balanced around being 2 slot. Any of the current set of 2 handers would need to be nerfed if it was made 1 slot.

There are no balance at all in slot system. Worst thing that happen to this mod. Same with «multi», «new wpf curve», «early attack» and «new armor soak stats».

Uses two hands: two slots.

If this does happen, I want my Huscarl's round shield to be 1slot.
