why not make EVERY weapon hard to sheath once it's drawn, maybe via a short time bar and holding V?
because think about it: if you're a longbowman and you have to take your longsword (you should be allowed to have one imo), then you would drop your bow and fight until you manage to run away, or kill the enemy, or run away, sheath your sword accordingly, and pick up your longbow afterwards when it's save again.

this would be a really good thing to have, and we could get rid of the annoying slots!

and this would cure most of these problems at once, or not?
imagine: archers can't run and shoot and draw their sword once in a while, as easily as it is right now BUT they could at least take every weapon they want (all but maul maybe, because of the weight, i dunno)

NO!

Honestly there shouldn't even be any 1 slot 2 handed weapons.  The fact you can use a 1 slot 2h and have WPF in it, when you have an xbow or bow equipped, and then when you run out of ammo or get to be one of the last one's left, find a masterwork longsword on the ground is enough of an advantage as it already is.  If you were using a 1 slot, 1h weapon, you'd never be able to have that same advantage.

so you don't want the same chances for everyone? isn't that a bit weird?

at the same time we could just blow off the using restrictions on the weapons too, everyone should be able to use everything - ofc not being efficient with it if his skill sucks, but yeah, actually THAT would be fair!

What's the difference between Mace and Longsword?

According to you Mace should be two slot.

I don't understand this part. Ranged player has an advantage over you because he's able to pick up melee weapon from the ground and fight (with 3 PS and lower HP than you), instead of standing still waiting for you to kill him?

Btw. most xbowmen on EU servers stopped using arbalests and use normal xbows which means they can use two slot weapons. And those who use 2 slot xbow (arbalest, heavy xbow) still have mace which is better weapon than longsword if you have 5 PS or lower.
