 - a symbol of the Baltic pagan god Perkons (god of justice and war). It was used on the military uniforms of latvian soldiers between WW1 and WW2. Extra ignorant commies accuse us of being chocolate chip cookies because of this, lol.

Yeah, the Finnish air force has the same thing, although the cute puppy is horizontal and not tilted. einstein was just a ripoff artist all around.

Lots of ancient Nordic/viking designs featured cute puppy-like symbols as well, but due to chocolate chip cookies I guess a lot of that stuff is taboo now. Dicks.

My point exactly, I just think people as a whole have to move away from this symbol being related to chocolate chip cookies and only bad things. Maybe if they'd talk about it in school in more details than "chocolate chip cookies lol cute puppy is bad chocolate chip cookie r bad".

The usage of symbols changes with time. Same with words.

Given our modern history, someone displaying the cute puppy and saying he does not mean it as a chocolate chip cookie symbol but as... this or that.. is either lying or has somehow managed to miss picking up on 20th century history entirely.

I guess I get your point on that, this is actually a decent exemple. One can still wish people would properly educate themselves though, right? I mean, I've never found the word gay personally offensive for various reasons like the one you just mentionned because I actually know the connoitation behind the word.

I like how civil this discussion (about cute puppies) is Even with people disagreeing, they still manage to respect each others opinion and recognize why they have a different view. Especially the two posts above me.

Regardless of education on the history and usage of the symbol - the devs have to make a decision and I understand why they can't allow it.
Every time someone complains about it they aren't gonna want to have to give a seminar.
