Loomed crossbow acuracy.
« on: June 16, 2012, 04:18:15 am »

  Hello,

I'm wondering if a rank 3 crossbow (+3 acuracy and + 8 damage) is more or less acurate than a rank 0 one. Every ranged weapon loses acuracy relativly to their damage, i know a +3 rus bow is less acurate than a +0 rus bow for exemple.

So, is it the same for xbows ?

Thanks,

GuiKa.

Edit : Oh and i forgot, i also wanted to know how armor weight affect xbow wpf. (i cant find the formula   :? )

dunno about xbow accuracy but wpf formula is :

Effective WPF = WPF - Effective armor weight

Effective armor weight = 3*head armor weight + body armor weight + leg armor weight + 2*hand armor weight - 7

Everything's there ;) : http://forum.c-rpg.net/index.php/topic,23607.msg492731.html#msg492731

It is now x4 for gloves, x2 for helmet, x1 body/legs. With 10 effective weight limit before wpf is affected. Source: recent shik post (recent post in GD iirc)

It's the truth. But for bows only.

I belive xbow only gets better with the amount of accuracy and wpf, without bothering about the damage. So full benefit for looming an xbow.

What? How? Can devs confirm this? Whenever I pick one up I feel like it's more accurate :shock:

To preface this, I do not often play archery, but when you loom a bow, it gains accuracy, so how can it be less accurate? The only thing that I could think of is that the missile speed also increases, which you are is being misconstrued as inaccuracy.

I can say sure, that loomed xbows are more accurate that nolloomed.
shooting at people from a reachable place as last man standing is not delaying. Even if you're on the other side of the map.

Bow and Throwing weapon lose 1 accuracy for each damage points :

Long bow accuracy = 101 - 31 = 70; MW long bow accuracy = 103 - 34 = 69;

Horn bow accuracy = 97 - 24 = 73; MW horn bow = 99 - 27 = 72;

Probably not the same thing for XBow because the Sniper XBow is not that inaccurate compare the CrossBow ....

Crossbows do too, I think. When they lowered the damage of crossbows (ages ago) the accuracy increased despite them lowering the accuracy stat. The reason an arbalest isn't less accurate then a normal crossbow is that it has a significantly higher accuracy stat (plus, the bolt speed is higher and that makes life easier).

Best ban reason ever:
Quote from: Wookimonsta
I checked, the only Vagabond I found was Wolves_Vagabond_TheCruel, that guy is now unbanned. Ban reason was: "calling Zotte a cockswoggler".

Crossbows lose 1 accuracy per 4 damage points.
Now you guys have to do the mathematics :P
