Funny how im 1hit while wearing Hourglass Gauntlets and Katafraktoi Armor and the Bow im killed with isan't even a longbow or Nomad Bow even, its by a normal bow thats +3 loomed with non loomed arrows

Yes ranged really is Underpowered

If you get hit in the head, it doesn't matter what gloves or armor you are wearing. :)

And that pigface klappvisier should protect you from melee cut weapons to a degree. Not a projectile piercing into your skull at high speeds.

Also, I've shot a guy in the head at ~15 feet with a mw arbalest and mw steel bolts, and he survived. Sold the arbalest and bolts immediately and grinded out the rest of that generation. If all I get is one shot before I have to find cover to reload for 4 seconds, then I have to make that shot count. If guy can run at me in a strait line without fear of being killed, EVEN if I shoot him in the head with the strongest ranged weapon in the game, then something is seriously wrong.

"Pigface" helmets were made specifically to deflect arrows if im right, so it doesnt quite make sense, plus its a "high tier" helmet and only has 8 less head armor then the  Weimar Helmet which is the strongest helm so your saying of

And that pigface klappvisier should protect you from melee cut weapons to a degree. Not a projectile piercing into your skull at high speeds.

seems to be a bit off, Im not a medieval expert but im pretty sure it was made to protect you from arrows

I think ranged is fine the way it is, but I do agree that the highest tier helmets should have a chance of taking an arrow and surviving.

So buff helms slightly or nerf headshots slightly.  Nothing drastic!!!

What would be nice would be a realism update:

Poleaxes and greatswords become useless, everyone buys a shield, bows gets damage buff and MASSIVE accuracy nerf, horses get MASSIVE volume buff and become slower and less manouvarable as they take dmg, xbows get slight dmg nerf and massive accuracy nerf, block removed from pikes, weapons that block with wooden pole take dmg and break....many more things.

Then i would be happy with mod. I can dream on I guess.

why nerf Bows and xbows accuracy? realistically their quite accurate, taking the block from a pike/long spear would be nice seeing as lifting a 7ft+ long piece of wood makes no sense.
