Fair enough whatcha wanna know?  I play TR infantry mostly so air stuff I'll do my best to answer what I can.  And just remember this is my experience on an actual beta build.   It is not a demo, it has bugs and it is still THE MOST FUN I've had in a game in years.

1  Yea it has some bugs for sure but the ones I've ran into seem to be terrain related.  But I have seen Turrets deployed upside down, so that's funny.

 The performance on the current build is stable mostly  the graphic quality is amazing though,  NNight fights have never been more pretty.  The last 3 days have been a non stop fight at one base with the TR holding off both empires.  I've seen land battles of several 100 players,  dozens of aircraft, tanks and rockets and tracers firing off as fast as they can.  All while maintaining a constant framerate.   

The aircraft for me are basicaly an expensive way to kill myself quickly.  But as far as watching the dogfights each empires are distinct and have very REAL limitations that is nice to see.  The liberator is tough but slow and the guns on it are pretty neat.  The empire specific ones are pretty cool and the style of flight is very different from one another.  The vanu on is fast and VERY nimble, the NC is armoured and hard hitting but almost lumbering by comparison, while  the mighty Republic bird is a perfect blend of form and function.  Also the fastest in straight lines.  Watching the 3 empire birds dog fighting  has been one of the coolest things I've seen in game so far, and you can watch the pilots get better.


I will say this, I had high hopes for this game and even in this beta build I am not let down.  Also it has intergrated squad voice chat and its very good.

Game looks amazing.. the night time is awesome and the jet flying over the land part looks pretty.

Man we NEVER get out of that fucking dessert.  But yea that's a good representation of beta at this stage.  If the NDA loosens up I'll stream some infantry/vehicle combat.  (that dude sucks as a light assault but decent pilot.)

CPU Intel Core 2 Duo 3.0GHz
GPU Radeon HD 6670 1GB DDR5
RAM 4GB (3,4GB)

planning:
OS WIN 7 64bit
CPU Intel I7 3770 3.4 GHz
Same GPU
RAM 12 or 16

Will the new CPU with extra ram be sufficient to play this? o.o

The vanu max does look like that, the screenshot was taken from Higby's stream yesterday. You can have 3 different guns, maybe one of them looks like as you explain.

Questions

1. How is the performance? Optimization wise. Average FPS?

2. Which sides are currently winning or have the most territory?

3. Are you able to spec into multiple classes?

4. Whats the longest battle you've been in with no signs of progression and mostly a stand still?

The current build is definitely a step up from the tech test, but there are still some small lingering hitches in the engine.  Overall though, it's fairly well optimized for this stage of beta.

Was going to relieve my PS1 days of Vanu swagger but the NC has won me over.  I just love the sound of their guns, I can't help myself.  Also, the NC sniper is the classic bolt driver of PS1 and is the most rewarding sniper imo. 

Honestly though, I'll be dropping the sniper in favor of the Stalker cloak cert when it gets unlocked.  Pistol + Knife + C4 for me.
