I don't really get what the benefit of making a +3 to 2 loom points if you have to outbid people and prob spent 400k + to do it

So your not only loosing a +3 to 2 loom points, but ur also paying an excessive amount of gold..
They should make this a regular choice, having the option to make a +3 2 loom points, with maybe the disadvantage of paying 25-50k... I mean ur loosing a MW for a balanced. or armor wise. Then bidding out people. I just don't think its reasonable. We should be able to do this anyways. with a low cost fee.

A blacksmith auction will appear every few days, if you have some patience you might get it quite cheap. The original idea was to have unlimited reforges for everyone to instantly convert a masterwork into 2 heirloom points - was not implemented because it would have immediately made any masterwork to be worth at least 2 heirloom points.

Like im going for level 33. i desperately want a +3 round steel buckler, and +3 tabard.. both very rare. and i have a bunch of extra +3 i don't use from diff classes.

So u could enable us to do it with out being able to use it on the market. i have atleast 4 items i would do it to. it would be very nice. I WOULD LOVE U FOREVER

Yeah spending gold to lose an heirloom level is nonsense.  I agree that any MW should be worth at least 2 loom points.  Think about the playtime involved to get em.  I agree its stupid to loom a fuckin stick, or a red shirt, but let them get their 2 points out of it if they want, without having to auction for it.

*Quick edit*  The mod needs fun added.  I don't see how blacksmith auctions add fun or enjoyment in any way.  It shouldn't be run on giving people the shitty end of the stick all the time.  We play the mod for the diversity and customization that's possible.  I see marketplace posts up and people asking around for any pair of boots or helmet they can find thats loomed. Let people get what they want.  Taking +3 to +2 is a big enough hit already.  If anything, make the blacksmith auction allow you to turn a +3 into 3 loom points

Well that would render the market for looms completely useless. And allowing everyone to transform a MW into 2 or 3 loompoints at any time would make everyone jumping around its classes with still enough MW items on a heavy rate. I dont like that idea.

If anything there needs to be a multitude of auctions available or all these new 'auctions' aren't anything but simple features pushed via auctions, not actual gold sinks, a few million drained every 3-4 week is seriously no big deal with all the heirloom point sales.

There needs to be an incentive to lower the prices on heirlooms OR making features such as these (and the others) available to the public in a more broad manner.

Scary day when I agree with Ricky, but it's a cool concept and if there is going to be quite a few of these auctions, you may be able to snag one cheap. What would be nice is to occasionally offer an auction alongside this that runs with a Superior Blacksmith and Allows you to throw a MW in and get 3 loom points out. Of course, the gold sink for this would probably reach a pretty hefty area.

That's why the blacksmith works in a limited and easy-to-control way.


This feature won't really fight the inflation per se, but it will increase the supply of heirloom points. It definetly allows everyone that has the money to get it. But it will also become too expensive to be useful for most potential buyers as the price goes up.

I love this though, it's going to blow holes in the gol supply, that is fo sho... I still don't really know why we are blowing holes in the gold supply though... TBH it's a bit late because the supper rich are all mostly wondering around with fully loomed armour and weapons and don't really need much of anything.

It's a good idea having it as an auction. I don't think it should be getting rid of a loom point though. Perhaps it should give you 2 loom points and a +1 version of the item. I think hacking away at the amount of looms in the system isn't a great idea at all.

i would make my +3 bec, german poleaxe, bamboo spear, pike, and liuydou into 2 loom points, loom myself a brown lion shield, iron mace, nomad saber, and idk the rest
BUT i can assure u if u cant use the 2 loom points on market, theirs no way this concept can fail
