No one alive that you've met you mean.

Anyhow I am all for the idea.

No, noone. Obviously, if you aimed off from them, and they practised a LOT then they could learn to preempt the arrow and eventually hit it midair. But real (not some silly bamboo prop) arrows travel around 300 fps and that girl was stood about 7 feet from her old man.

That gives him 0.02 of a second of airtime before he must have sliced the arrow. Noone can do that. No reactively, only by preemting, and noone will survive their first attempt if it is actually aimed at them...

As for bamboo arrows, Ive caught them by hand at about 40 feet from the bow, bow drawweight about 18 pounds. Bamboo arrows from pathetic bows (or patheticly weak archery styles, noone holds the arrow, it is NOT how ANY archer looses arrows) travel around 50-80 fps, and are evidently hitable by spamtana, as seen in video

That was bamboo arrow, as you can see from the footage: these travel VERY slowly, bamboo arrows would not penetrate a person when fired by that puny girl, she is NOT even holding the bowstring, she is holding the arrow between thumb and index, meaning there is NO power there. That arrow was NOT hard to hit, I'm sorry to say, good cinematic effect but not so difficult. There is noone alive who could react intime to slice a well weighted arrow fired from a decent weight bow (60 pounds and up) from the air at the range portrayed in that video.

With the speed at which arrows travel ingame it would be realisitically difficult so I think this is a worthy addition to the game. Dodging gets old very fast.

edit: but I usually play light armored characters and have a monk's robe +1. If it was possible I would totally catch some fuckin' arrows with my hands.

irl something shorted on the shuttle and laika overheated and died within a few hours of liftoff and for a brief while one could look up to the stars and see a light shooting across the sky that was actually a warm dog corpse slingshoting about the earth at thousands of miles per hour which was arguably humanity's greatest achievement so far

ETA for this feature: december 2010.

Hmmm, we tried it for some time against a thrower, but it never worked. If it's really in, it has to be made a little easier. I don't think I've ever chambered a projectile on accident. And I've been playing for some time now.

dumb suggestion, physically impossible.

Oh, the realism argument. Right. Sorry for having made such a dumb suggestion, I will now delete all my chars and offer you my heirlooms as recompense.

While charging their target, a ninja can use their sword to deflect an arrow and kill the archer before he can reload.
confirmed

Anthony declared that it was unlikely a ninja would be cornered by three archers and proposed a one-on-one battle. During the demonstrating, Adam fired an arrow at Anthony. Anthony deflected the arrow with his sword and was able to close the distance and “kill” Adam before he had time to fire his second shot.

I was being ironic, we didn't add it yet. I can say it's on our priority list right after adding elves and magic.

But he'll be around somewhere between Heaven and The Devil, because neither of them will take him in, and he'll be farting loudly and singing a filthy song.

So you're saying it will be implemented before you make strategus a decent game?
