How to play CRPG through regular Warband in Steam?

Some of my friends launches Warband in Steam and it lets him play CRPG.  When I try to it says I need the WSE to play CRPG.  I would like to launch Warband so it can keep track of my time played.  Also, do you get achievements in CRPG?

Yes, the multiplayer Warband Steam achievements can be earned by playing cRPG, iirc.

Launch the cRPG launcher from within steam. Add it as a non-steam game or whatever. Works for most.

I seem to be one of the unlucky guys cuz it aint working for me.
I just start the "Steam Warband" and ignore the WSE-errors which is working just fine. I canplay battle, siege and DTV w/o having any issues.

Easy to test... Turn off Steam and start the game with the launcher.
If Steam starts too, it prolly tracks. If it doesn't start, it ain't tracking.

Nah it doesnt track. Looked op my post in the how much hours in Warband thread and it has 1 hour less than I have now and I've played more than that in 3 weeks. I wonder when it stopped, cause it used to count even with the launcher.

It stopped going through Steam in the last patch.

My Crpg launcher (WSE launcher?) goes through steam still after downloading the latest version and patching.  I have to click "Play Warband" when I launch it, and then choose crpg from the drop down list of warband mods.  I get the WSE errors, etc.  The things that I noticed are you can't see when you (or someone else) uses a weapons secondary mode (like turning the broad 1h battle axe around to pierce damage works, but I still see it as the normal orientation).  And whistling works, but it doesn't call the horses over.

Not sure how to fix this other than re-downloading Warband not through steam.

If I use the crpg launcher and choose "play crpg" the load screen never finishes and I get some memory error bullshit.

Same as CrazyCracka420, problem is only that WSE doesn't work which for example includes the i-chat and I also think I lag a bit more since NW and the warband patch.
I should probably stop playing NW and just patch back warband.

I haven't been able to play cRPG in the last few months (moving countries sucks, don't do it) but I know that with Skyrim you can launch through a seperate (SKSE) launcher and it tracks the stats.

That worked before the last patch too. But with the last patch the steam-warband.exe gets replaced by a normal warband.exe that doesn't use Steam. I managed to get the cRPGLauncher work in Steam (with Overlay), but still its not the same, esp. as no stats are made, which kinda sucks.
