The problem for you is that you're probably trying to constantly wear high tier gear - the upkeep system is intended to stop that.

If the x1 was changed to 100 (which is doubling the original value), then everyone could then wear double the value of armour and weapons they currently do. This would mean everyone could afford to wear high tier gear all the time which takes us back to pre-patch.

Yeah really, if you have money problems you are either a low level gen 1 or are doing it wrong. Using mid-level gear you can make an OBSCENE amount of money. Yesterday on one of my characters I bought 3 horses 'cause I don't have anything else to spend all this money on.

Throwing is lame?

Everything is lame when you get killed by it according to some people.

Partially agree but just because I caught myself saying the same thing once... be sure to add up the original cost of your items you are wearing before they are heirloomed. The in-game total for an item increases for heirloomed items, even though that increase is not calculated in the repairs.

Current breakage and maintenance rates allows the average player to continuously field equipment worth between 35,000 and 40,000 gold (buying price) on the battle servers.

I break even wearing 80k gold worth of gear...

Or you could just go team stack on siege to make a little more gold...

Repair Costs are way too high and items are damaged too often.

Also why do i have to repair my Horse for 1300+ Gold, after it was wounded or died?

I agree, repair costs are too high, you already spend enough money on purchasing.

Other forum members should not be able to mute somebody by + or -.  That is the worst policy ever seen on a forum.  Look at me...muted due to biggotry for years!

Never see me complain about repair cost because i do the work and earn the gold to support a very costly build. I'd like to see the cost increased for everything.

I personally am fine with the repair system, as it works for me.

At lower modifiers (X1) I equip a 14K build, and at X2 and higher I put on my 35K outfit and I still make money either way. If I do not care about making money, I can usually break even and even make a small tidy sum from the 35K outfit in the long run.

I like that the maority of people are running around in medium armor, as that pleases me.

Also, to be fair, if Goretooth can use that black outfit of his, then I am content that the higher builds are viable.
I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.
The terror of my reign will live on in infamy, singing when they die like a dead man's symphony.
