My 1h no shield gen was probably the most epic thing I have ever done in cRPG.

30/9 10 IF 10 PS 3 ATH

Stabbing dudes with a Long Espada and 10 PS was ridiculous. The left swing with the 33 cut on the Arab Cav Sword also got me more one shots than you think 1h would be capable of.

Having high athletics/light armor and weaving all over between 20+ teamates and enemies. Always have a great time with shortened spear on my xbow character, landing fast swipes to stagger an enemy, then whipping around to backstab a shielder that your teamate has the attention of.

Also playing mock bullfights against cav. Pretend to reload your crossbow as they charge you, then jump to the side at the last second. Never gets old.

I hate fighting people with two directional attack weapons. All they do is hold attack, it gets so boring.

All melee fights with people who have their own style.

I do agree with Byrdi though, 2 or 1-dir poles used by people who are actually decent is incredibly frustrating and boring.

Get a maul,light armor and join siegue. You will enjoy every combat in general. Enjoy also the higher amount of spam and "teamrapingurback" that you will suffer.

Play a shielder. Add throwing if you like, axe kills are hilarious.

Reason for shielder? 1v1 gets meh as you said. However, as a shielder you can fight multiple people and still come out on top. That is never the same fight, ever. Good stuff.

Although 2H is an ego boost for everyone, kills are far too easy and it's pretty boring. It's much harder going as a 1H player without your shield, so I guess kills are more rewarding. I like fighting other 1H cav while being a 1H cav too, it's a bit like a dog fight with planes I guess.

Throwing is eternally satisfying though, that dull thud noise when you smack a guy square in the face with an axe or down a horse is pretty unbeatable.

Finally found an interesting hybrid/melee build.
Still wondering if i should put the wpf in 1h or 2h though.

Enables me to have fun against all classes, and i never think "oh, if only i had ran away and pewpew them", because i "nerfed" the build by allowing only 6 athletics, so i usually don't outrun people.

At least, the people that manages to come to me can be offered a nice duel. Of course, it sometimes make them rage that they got owned in melee by an archer, but that's their problem.

I like throwing shit at ppl. And chaning to melee mode hitting them before they're able to block. Class.
