"leaked" artwork, looks really cool - seems like early middle ages (amazing hat :D)

Ganbat on form as usual.

Anyway, this doesn't tell us anything about the time scale in itself, since WB itself has gear stretching from the viking age to the late medieval period. However, since the Bannerlord teaser video also had a similar-looking guy, and the title itself sounds like it'd fit in better with an earlier time period, I guess it's possible they've chosen to go for a more limited setting this time. Still need more info, though.

Q: You know there had been many successful modifications for the game, and one of the best known is the Strategus – cRPG, which allows the players to have some sort of multiplayer campaign. Will there be any feature like that in the game to come?
A: at this stage a multiplayer, competitive or cooperative looks still pretty difficult to make.

Are you fucking kidding me? They're seriously considering releasing without multiplayer again, even after Warband? That's absurd.

Seriously, I'll try the beta if they have one again, but I really don't see myself buying it without MP. It'd have to be leaps and bounds better than the previous titles to be worthwhile for SP alone. I'd probably just wait and see if a MP option materializes again, whether it's an add-on or a standalone thing like Warband.

Yeah, I'll do about the same. Unless the supposed SP-only is absolutely fantastic, then I don't see a reason to get it. No multiplayer in 2013? lol

For the first game it was all right, it was a fresh concept. Warband on the other hand was basically nothing without MP, the SP improvements were all pretty minor. If Bannerlord doesn't have MP, I really don't know what they're planning to do to rope in all the people who played Warband.

That totally depends on what they do with SP though. If it's just this version of M&B but with shinier graphics then I'm not buying. But if they seriously improve the SP (destructible objects, better troop/recruit managedment, etc.) then I'll still buy it no matter what.

Mount & Blade was always mainly a SP series for me. Didn't even consider the MP part for quite some time.

Besides, with the super secret game that we don't know anything about, we got M&B style MP more than sorted for quite some time.
This game isn't about being skillful as much as its about saying things in general chat that enrage people who then go to murder you but in their rage they make dumb mistakes which gets them killed.

I believe that was misinterpreted, and they were probably just speaking of there not being an online campaign or persistent characters.

Not misinterpreted, misstated maybe. From what it says there, I don't see how else to understand it than the game being SP only more likely than not. The question may have been about those features you mention, but the answer is about "a multiplayer, competitive or cooperative" -- that means any kind of multiplayer at all, not just cRPG/Strat style.

Was the Q&A originally done in English, or translated from Turkish? If it's the latter, any chance there might have been an error?

Like I said, it'd have to be leaps and bounds better than Warband SP to draw me in. "Destructible objects, better troop/recruit management" would be even less change than Warband SP was from M&B. The campaign was always fun, but I've had my fill of it and I CBA playing it again unless it changes considerably more than that. With Warband MP justified the buy, but if Bannerlord drops THAT... well, they're going to need some SERIOUS new stuff on the SP side.
