I wish we could have more period clothing, armor, helmets, banners, with cool rugged colors etc. 

Personally I would love to see some Persian and Turkish stuff mixed in ;)

It's quite simple, if you want new armors, weapons, you just have to make the models, the dev team is open to any good proposal.

The hard part is to find the good .dds file, once you localize it you can open it with photoshoplike software (with dds plug) then you can change color of the texture.
It's quite easy for someone who used to work on software, and it's not that hard for a noob (like me!).
But it needs time...
