Well, I am no modeller. But since it never hurts to state your idea, I think we might make use of some of these one handed weapons:

(click to show/hide)
(click to show/hide)
(click to show/hide)
(click to show/hide)

Now these weapons should be of 60-80 length, very fast and light. Moderate damage (30 cut) for swing and low damage (19 pierce) for stab. WFaS already has a good example of one of these swords, yataghan a short and fast weapon in the armory of tatar infantrymen.

Looking forward to it :)

My only issue with weapons like that, which applies to all curved weapons is how the hitbox of weapons are in this game.

The hitbox is more like a big straight line, so anything that's curved will usually result in weird shit happening, such as the Scimitar/Elite Scimitar's weird ghost reach due to getting hit by the hitbox long before the actual sword hits you.

With this weapon, people will probably complain it goes right through people 24/7 because the blade part of the weapon will touch them but the hitboxes will not.

I personally think the first one he showed with the red handle would probably be the only one adopted as its fairly straight and looks pretty damn awesome. And I don't think it be a big deal as its not as curved as either of the scimitars.
My horse is named pebbles and we like to try.

I don't think we should judge mechanics till we've an expert opinion on what the WSE could do with forward-curved weapons.  As for aesthetics and suitability I like the concept.

Iirc, forward-curved swords went out of style in europe after the end of the west roman empire.

Having a falcata would still be cool though.

For old greece and europe, perhaps. But janissaries used it till 19th century if I am not mistaken.

Also I wouldn't think it would cause much of a hitbox problem, due to the high speed the weapon should have it will be hard to notice supposedly. Yes, faster than a scimitar and no, not as fast as the yataghan in WFaS...

Yataghan is added as a picture as well.

Well, I am not asking for too much I think. This is something already WFaS have. The devs can have it from there by permission.
