I will copy-paste what I wrote in ironklake's thread:
"
Flame away.
As you wish sire.
"Remember that this is the internet. Don't be insulted if someone calls you an idiot."
2nd rule in the list of rules in the wiki.
You banned beer because he called someone "chocolate chip cookie" and "you were owned". For a week.
Seriously, why the fuck? If you have a personal problem with him at least find a semi-legit reason that doesn't seem so arbitrary. He was insulted by "chocolate chip cookie"? Who gives a fuck? What am I, or beer, or anyone else, supposed to call him? A my old friend? I wish, but apparently that is homophobia now and we have a wild my old friend running around calling bans on people that call him that way. How about poopypants? But what happens when someone gets "deeply offended" from being called poopypants? Ban him for a week too?
Maybe we should implement an offend-o-meter that counts the offense each word produces so we can ban accordingly?
You enforce the rules obviously without concern for the greater picture and out of personal spite. Badmin."
The ban was completely unwarrented. Panos did NOTHING against the rules and banning him sets a very very bad precedence. I think the mods should not only unban panos but actually apologize for this.
