disagree, you must have never come across the real best people in the game, ie. people who still kick everyones ass completely without doing any spin tactics or spamming left swing. they are just fucking brilliant at the game, not sure if any people around still like that only been playing a few days.

Who are these people you speak of, if you don't mind telling me?

Well it's true the 1h left swing is kinda retarded, and was for a long time. With the correct weapon and build, you can just spam it and win fights even though you are terribad without it. It was ok but recently it started to become popular in cRPG so maybe accelerating the right swing and slowing down the left swing could be a good idea. Or maybe buffing shields in coverage.

This is not a blocking problem. Even if you block the first hit, the second one will still be faster than anything you can pull off (only some 1h players are lame enough to do this, but still)

I'm not normal and I don't pretend so, my approach is pretty much a bomb crescendo.
Death is a fun way to pass the time though, several little bullets moving in staccato.

Kinda disagree with this. If you can't get a hit in between left swings, then you aren't using enough WPF for your weapon speed or you're face hugging someone with a steel pick.

Here's something interesting about 2h and 1h animations as far as the left swing goes.

If 2 weapons have the same weapon speed,say a longsword (98 speed) and a winged mace (98 speed) and each person has the same stats and took a swing at each other, the longsword would hit first. However, if they swung in the air the animations would and at exactly the same time.

The left chamber of a 1hander is slower than a 2h, but the left swing of a 1h is faster than a 2h. So if it's a regular swing, the 2h will hit first. If the attack is already chambered, the 1h hit first. I hope I didn't make this too confusing.

Left swing spam is pretty much easy to predict (not necessarily easy to block  :mrgreen:), block first two hits and after that counter, there is short stun lock (or however you want to call that) that stops people from spamming indefinitely, when your opponent will try to start 3rd left swing it's your time to strike him.

not quite right, to pull this 2nd "abooz" spam of, there are 2 things to be considered:
1. holding the first attack open a longer. That doesn't change the speed of the second one but freezes the nervous system of some opponents
2. don't change movement direction, best done in a left circle from what i have seen sofar. If you change only slightly your movement and may it be only to target a second dude the spam attack is likely not going to work

Then again if you get at someone who is going to do this, aslong you and him strafe evenly and you are not going so much for the sound but more for the animation you will be able to counter this left hand spam. Still it is really annoying and myself is using it like one out of 30-50 attacks. Jacki you bastard, you do it all the time Renegate not that often but still like very 3rd attack and only because of that fighting you guys is a pain in the a**

It is not animation aboose but knowing exactly how the game mechanics work!

You are completely true and that's exactly what I do when I see one of those guys, but it still is a kinda lame trick IMO. Doing it doesn't require great skill, however defending against it reliably isn't that easy, like basically any kind of spam, be it hiltslashing or tornado dancing.

cRPG is balanced around animation abuse.

1H has left swing spam, poles chambered range control, 2H hiltslashing etc. etc.

I do agree that this kind of balance is wrong but I guess that's it. If they didn't want to it to be like this, they wouldn't have made it like this in the first place.

Adapt or leave, no other options left.

No, it's not. Left chamber of 1hander is fastest thing in game. On my 1H alt I'm able to beat much better 2H players than me, thanks to left chamber.

I vote no.  1handers are in a good place right now.

Of course they are balanced, maybe even UP atm. They have to get in range or facehug to be able to do their left swing spam. Before they do that you can backpedal spam your long weapon or just kick them when they get in range.
