The only time I played in a NA server was back when they were the only ones who had a DTV server running, and they seemed like nice people.

I must say, though, that general tolerance and patience have decreased a lot in EU1, compared to last year (although I'm not particularly the right person to talk about those things xD).

I also do that maybe one every two weeks when I have nothing else to do.

Every time I look in the chat log I do not see any real trolling, just a bunch of turks being turks, and you guys screaming until you are blue in the face about kick polls popping up every 5 seconds because you guys cant even be kept in the same server as each other.

Running around without a weapon is considered leeching. You can still construct stuff with friends. It's harsh, but what other good solution against leeching would you suggest?
