In this thread we learned one thing: athletics was nerfed so much, because peopel could make 36+ agi builds prepatch. Now buff athletics back, good archer with 6 athletics wont be able to run away now due to lowered speed of drawing a bow.

I don't know what the affect of rain does to athletics exactly, and since I don't have particles On I don't know if much of my rather informal testing was done with or without rain.

+1 Totally agree there is no point to have it nurffed still besides most people are using these STR builds.

That and the fact that many maps we seem to play on NA have these stupid tiles in them that just slow you down it's getting really fucking old those tiles are!  I wanna kill them but I can't even see them.

If you did return this though you may need to cap it at like 7 or 8 though

I have ath build. Leave it as it is. It's just fine. If you wish to fiddle with this though then nerf low athletics little bit more and leave the high ones alone.

Start thinking, if they already nerfed athletics, WHY would they need to nerf it furthermore? And how many points in athletics do you have? I had 10, and I can say, that it wasnt faster in straight way then peasant on 3 lvl 1 athletics with peasant gear. i was using pilgrim outfit and Niuweidao...

As a man who loves speed and being fast. I do not think this will be a good idea, I have seen plenty of archers able to run and gun still. Alot of times when people make threads like this i think to myself...ehhh i kinda get it. But this one I don't get. I see shielded combatants backpedaling easily avoiding hits, people running away just to throw again. I mean, if everyone is slower whats the point? I just do not understand why people are even thinking about this. Range is going to start complaining about not being able to hit the newly speedy characters.


Either way, i know that if i am faster than i can just dick about more and make my speed nuisance chars just that more annoying, so i approve of this.


Dravic, you are also wrong. I have 9 athletics on one of my chars and im so much faster than most everyone.

Athletics is fine atm, with 6-7 you are god. Just look at all the Phyrex wannabe's running around.

I've had ath10 character for a very long time. I always outrun all of my team. If you cant beat a peasant with ath10 character then your doing it wrong.

you seem to forgot that everyone wears lighter armour too, so buff athletics and most other will whine that agj builds like archers or ninjas are too fast.
